In the spirit of discovery and adventure represented by this holiday weekend's namesake, Smugglers' Notch Resort will host its second annual Discover Food and Wine on Saturday, October 6, 2012, over the Columbus Day holiday weekend.

Discover Food & Wine combines an array of specialty food & wine vendors enhanced by delicious appetizers prepared by our Morse Mountain Grille. Sample award-winning local wines from Boyden Valley Winery and Shelburne Vineyard, in addition to other domestic and international wines. Food samplings include the best of Vermont's savory specialty foods. The event will be held in our Meeting House from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm.

Smugglers' will offer event-only pricing and also package the event in 3-night vacation stays. Guests on overnight packages will receive tickets at check-in and day guests will be able to purchase event tickets at the Guest Services Desk.


Individual tickets for "Discover Food & Wine" are priced at $29, which includes:

 • Enjoyment of 12 wine tastings and a souvenir glass. Featured Vermont vineyards include Boyden Valley Winery, Shelburne Vineyard, East Shore Vineyard and Charlotte Village Winery.

 • Unlimited samplings of Vermont's delicious specialty foods such as Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, Boston Post Dairy's soft cheeses, award-winning Cabot Cheese, Douglas Sweets Shortbread, Vermont Smoke & Cure smoked meats, Grafton Cheese, maple goodies from Butternut Mountain Farm, Vermont Butter and Cheese, Lake Champlain Chocolates, chevre from Midnight Goat Farm, and more.

 • Live entertainment by acclaimed jazz and blues performer Jenni Johnson
