Adventure & Games Minor (click for details)Meeting location: Adventure Tent on the Village Green Monday — Recreational GamesCampers will participate in an assortment of get-to-know-you games, tag games, and other active games that will help promote team unity.
Tuesday — Air & FieldCampers will play games which include a variety of recreational balls, and anything that flies through the air. Campers will also have an opportunity to work together to maneuver through an adventure obstacle course.
Wednesday — Bootleggers' BasinCampers will travel from the Village down to Bootleggers' Basin. There they will enjoy a fun-filled day of swimming, volleyball games, and field games.
Bring a bag lunch or purchase one from our lunch program.Thursday — Low RopesCampers will journey to our Low Ropes Challenge courses located deep in the woods. The group will work together through the challenging low ropes course.
Friday — Adventure Race
All Adventure Rangers will meet at the Adventure Tent on Fridays to be divided into Adventure Race teams. Throughout the day each group will have to accomplish five different adventure events, including a road block (lunch) and a pit stop (swim time). At the end of the day results will be announced. The race will enable campers to meet campers from other minors and incorporate tasks from Adventure & Games, Nature & Hiking, and Arts & Crafts.
Saturday & Sunday — Choose Your Adventure!On weekends we combine all the minors so every camper will be able to choose from a variety of activities which may include parachutes, ice cream making, boat making, GPS tracking, nature hikes, field games and challenge games. This is a great chance for campers to experience all of our exciting minors so they can then choose a minor for the upcoming week or when they return next Summer.

Get to know your other cast members and begin brainstorming your dance, song and or performance for the week.
Tuesday — Experiment & Explore
Start creating the dance, song or performance as a group.
Wednesday — Learn your Lines
Fine tune your performance and prepare for the Thursday show. Determine costume and back drop needs and create them as needed.
Thursday — Dress Rehearsal & Performance
Dress rehearsal, theme parade teaser performance at 3:30 pm. Finish the day with a performance at the Vermont Country Fair at 5:00 pm.

Monday — Water WorldsCampers will use our aquatic collecting equipment and Smuggs nature guides to discover and study the nature of our mountain ponds and streams.
Tuesday — Forest QuestCampers will hike one of our many beautiful woodland trails and test their nature knowledge through challenging games.
Wednesday — Pebble MadnessOne of our most popular activities – find as many different kinds of rocks as you can, and identify them using our special guides. Plus swim at Bootleggers’ Basin. Bring a bag lunch or purchase from our lunch program.
Thursday — Climb-it and ClimateThis will be a big all-day hike on one of our challenging mountain trails, and will include some sky science such as cloud and weather identification using scientific instruments.

Our activities are all CHALLENGE BY CHOICE. This means that if at any point one of the campers does not feel comfortable with any activity, he/she can either step aside and observe, or counselors may help him/her to find a more comfortable way to be a part of the group, without doing the specific activity.
Children in Adventure Rangers programs are grouped by ages 7-8 & 9-10 years. Child to Counselor Ratio 1:10. You'll be grouped by age and be given the opportunity to tailor your experience at Smuggs based upon your own interests.
Parents Please Note: Our counselors will include your children in our Children's Program Lunch if they do not bring their lunch or if prior arrangements for their lunch have not been made. A charge of $6.75 per child, per lunch, will be automatically posted to your credit card. The lunch buffet includes: Sunday: Tacos, taco fixings with taco beef, Mexican rice, penne pasta with marinara sauce.
Monday: Grilled cheese, veggie burger, broccoli florets, penne pasta with marinara sauce.
Tuesday: Penne pasta with marinara sauce, meatballs, broccoli florets, garlic bread.
Wednesday: Hamburger, veggie burger, corn, mashed potato, penne pasta with marinara sauce.
Thursday: Cheese quesadillas, chicken quesadillas, quesadilla toppings, penne pasta with marinara sauce.
Friday: Pepperoni pizza, cheese pizza, penne pasta with marinara sauce.

CLOSE Do you have trouble fitting in swim lessons for your children in your busy Summer schedule? Now you can incorporate your child’s and adult swim lessons into your Summer vacation! As an American Red Cross Authorized Provider, Smugglers' offers Red Cross Learn-to-Swim classes for ages 5 through adult.
These classes provide instruction to help swimmers develop their swimming and water safety skills. The program is designed to give students a positive learning experience. Learn-to-Swim teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression. There are six learn-to-swim levels. Each level builds on skills learned in the previous level. Children who have not participated in Red Cross lessons previously will be placed appropriately based on their current swimming skills. Classes will have a 1 instructor to 6 student teaching ratio. The Learn-to-Swim program will meet in the morning to permit children to participate in Summer Fun University for the rest of the day.
