The Discover Food & Wine tasting event will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The event features a selection of domestic and international wine tastings, and samplings of Vermont's renowned specialty foods such as Cabot Cheese, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, maple products and more. The Resort's Morse Mountain Grille will serve hors d'oeuvres. While sampling, guests will enjoy local performer Jenni Johnson's unique blend of jazz, blues and swing vocals.
The weekend's 3 night/3 day lodging package includes entry to the Discover Food and Wine event, mountainside fully-equipped condominium lodging, use of the indoor heated pool and hot tubs, arcade game room, and enjoyment of other Resort facilities like tennis, basketball, mini golf, and shuffleboard (weather permitting). Package pricing starts at $237.50 per person based on double occupancy in a studio condominium.
In keeping with the weekend's theme of food discovery, guests may choose to enjoy a fee-based Water & Wine Canoe Trip to a local winery for a wine tasting complete with gourmet cheeses, fresh fruit and artisan breads.
Children can participate in daily programs hosted at the Resort's child care center, Treasures. Treasures also will offer a Kids' Night Out program from 5:30 to 10:30 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2012 to accommodate families who need child care while the adults attend Discover Food & Wine.
