Location
Smugglers' Notch, a year round mountain vacation resort, is located 30 miles east of the Burlington International Airport and five miles south of Jeffersonville on Route 108. The Resort is easily reached from Boston (225 miles), New York City (342 miles), and Montreal (91 miles).

Transportation
Air - Direct flights to Burlington International Airport via USAirways, JetBlue, Continental, United Airlines, Northwest and Delta.
Train - Amtrak service from New York, Philadelphia and other cities to Essex Junction, VT, a 40-minute drive from the Resort.
Transfers - Smugglers' arranges shuttle services for plane and train passengers with advance reservations.
Car rentals available at the airport.

Fall programs run from September 3 - October 8, 2007.

Mountains & Waters
Mountains - Morse, Sterling, and Madonna Mountains in the Green Mountain chain rise to a 3610' elevation from the Village. Historic Smugglers' Notch pass is an interesting drive; the Long Trail, a hiking path through the entire length of Vermont, crosses Madonna for easy access.
Waters - Open daily through late September, warm weather permitting, is the Mountainside Water Playground with an outdoor lap pool, Little Smugglers' Lagoon, 330' Giant Rapid River Ride and Turtle Mini-Waterslide. Also bath house with showers and changing rooms. The Courtside Pool is an indoor heated facility with hot tubs and bath house, available from late-September on. The Village Pond and Sterling Pond provide great trout fishing, and the Lamoille River & Lake Champlain (the "Sixth Great Lake") are nearby.

Special Facilities
Disc Golf - Enjoy Smugglers' Disc Golf course ... 18 holes on a beautiful woodland course. Disc rentals are available. This is a game for all ages that combines a walk through the woods with the fun of throwing a disc.

Tennis Center - The Tennis Center is open daily and features 8 outdoor clay courts, 2 outdoor hard courts and 2 indoor hard courts. Equipment is available.

Playgrounds for All Ages - Six playground sites scattered around the Resort are fitted with play structures for kids between the ages of six months and 12 years. They include the Pirate Ship Playground, the Fairy Castle Playground, and the Firefly Garden in the main Village; and the Star Playground and the Big Kid's Park nestled among the condominium clusters. There is also a playground at TREASURES child care center.

Vacation Value with Smugglers' Fall Packages
Smugglers' offers a variety of packages in response to travelers' varied interests.

The AutumnFest package offers families Smugglers' exceptional lodging and programming at the lowest rates of the year! The package includes lodging, a welcome party, daily guided nature hikes and walks for adults, daily morning children's programs plus lunch, two full-day midweek children's programs including lunch, daily Family Ties afternoon activities, and use of pools, hot tubs, and waterslides. AutumnFest packages start at $448 for a family of four staying two nights in a one bedroom condominium.

The entire family can come together in the afternoon to participate in Family Ties, a special program that is part of AutumnFest. The daily activities provide interaction between parents and children: Sand Daze (sandcastle building) and Creative Corner Puppets are examples. There is a different activity daily.

Other packages include Golf, Eco-Adventure, Relaxation, Creativity, See Vermont & Beyond, and Adventure. They each include special programming. For example, the Adventure package includes a mountain bike rental, Segway instruction and use, and a canoe outing. There's even a Home Base package for those who want to enjoy Smugglers' comfortable lodging without access to Resort programs. Each package offers access to Smugglers' hiking trails, pools and hot tubs, and evening entertainment.

Guests also have the opportunity to enjoy Smugglers' woodland miniature golf, shuffleboard, basketball and volleyball.

TREASURES, a fully certified child care center, provides professional services for children 6 weeks to 5 years. The children are grouped by age with separate play and rest areas and developmentally appropriate learning opportunities, activities, and materials. Kids' Connection is the name of the AutumnFest program. Children age 5 and under are entitled to the morning programs (including lunch) and to Wednesday and Friday all-day programs (including lunch). Evening private babysitting is available. Reservations required. The Center is open from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm daily.

Fireflies are little ones aged 6 weeks to 16 months who will enjoy climbing, crawling, and spatial play, plus outdoor swings, strollers, and sunny decks.

Little Dippers are the 17 months to 3-year-olds who play together, sing, do crafts, and listen to stories. Outside they enjoy the wading pools, sandbox, and swings.

Little Rascals is TREASURES' outdoor group fun program, a mini-camp for soon-to-be campers ages 3-5. Kids enjoy mini-hikes, water play, group games, arts & crafts, and picnic lunches.

Family Evening & Adult Evening Activities
Each evening at 7:00 pm the FunMeister rustles up a participatory event for kids and their parents, a different one every night. They span the range of Welcome Party to Karaoke Tunes, from Bingo Blast to Family Dance.
