Smugglers' Notch Resort's New Activity-based Packages Explode with Choices

•Six new activity-based packages created for Fall 2007
•Autumn package rates are the lowest rates of the year
AutumnFest Family Vacation Package anchors the package selections

The Scoop:
In northern Vermont, Smugglers’ Notch Resort hopes to lure guests with its six new activity-based stay-to-play packages. Each hinges on a theme in a three or four night format from September 3 – October 8, 2007, the lowest rate period of the year.

Each of the new packages combines theme-based activities together with mountainside Resort Village condominium lodging, daily guided nature hikes, pools and waterslides (indoors after September 18th), evening entertainment for adults and families, tennis, volleyball, movies, skate park and Disc Golf.

The AutumnFest Family Package is for families traveling with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years and includes half-day and full-day programs for the kiddies at the award-winning TREASURES child care center as well as afternoon family programs. Guests on this package staying 3 nights or longer may stay an extra night at no additional cost.

In the lineup of the new packages is The Great Golf Escape that offers two rounds of golf at two championship 18-hole courses nearby, Disc Golf, mini-golf and two ½ day in-Resort golf cart rentals. A Montreal Day Trip and Taste of Vermont Day Trip (Smuggs does the driving and guiding) make up the special details of the See Vermont & Beyond Package. Green-minded travelers will appreciate the inclusions in the Eco-Adventure Package: a guided Segway Tour and a two hour Segway rental to explore the surroundings, an evening guided Wildlife Watch Canoe Trip, a two hour canoe or kayak rental for self exploration, and a guided hike called Where Does the Water Go? that explains water runoff and solutions.

A 4-hour Painter’s Palette Art Workshop, a 3-hour Sculpting Art Workshop, a Cabot Creamery Welcome Gift box and three Vermont Country Style Breakfasts make up the Creativity Package. Those who choose the Relaxation Package receive two 50 minute massages from the Massage Center’s offerings, a morning yoga class, a wine tasting at the nearby and acclaimed Boyden Valley Winery, a Treat Your Feet Reflexology Workshop and an Intro to Pilates class. The Adventure Package supplies guests with daily guided hikes, a full day mountain bike rental, a guided Segway tour, a 2-hour Segway rental for self exploration, an evening guided Wildlife Watch Canoe Trip and a canoe or kayak rental to use at will.

For a three night stay, Autumn rates range from $231 to $499 per person in a studio accommodation, depending on the package chosen. Longer and shorter stays are also available.
