New snow and more terrain

Tele turns on Upper Drifter

We received 2 to 3 inches of new snow today and 34 inches in the past week. The conditions are just fantastic. We opened the Village Lift and the Mogul Mouse Magic Lift to the top today. My son Hugh B and I skied from the Village over to the upper mountains this morning. We skied Upper Drifter and Shuttle to Sterling. We were able to find some great powder turns on both trails. The snow was so deep on the lower half of Shuttle that you had to ski or ride in someone’s tracks to gain speed and then you could jump back into the powder for a few turns. I would have to say that Doc Dempsey’s was also very nice this morning.

Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 5 lifts operating and 49 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 17 out of the 49 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, that’s 78 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Tomorrow’s forecast is partly to mostly sunny skies with a high of 18 degrees. Snowmaking continues around the clock on Lower Chilcoot and the top of Link. The Birch Run Terrain Park is open with 7 features.
