New Snow

We received 6 inches of accumulation in the past 24 hours! I say accumulation because we received snow, sleet, and some freezing. It was mostly sleet that we received today and it was fun to ski. The wind was moving it around a little which filled in all the low spots. The sleet is dense and it made the snow feel deeper than it really was. It allowed you stay on top and play. We have more snow and sleet in the forecast with another 12 inches of accumulation possible by Wednesday night. Thomke’s trail opened today with natural snow coverage and we plan to open more trails tomorrow.

Weather permitting tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 7 lifts operating, including the Madonna I Lift. We plan to have 29 trails open tomorrow with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 12 to 48 inches. 21 out of the 28 trails will be groomed for tomorrow for a grand total of 89 acres of freshly groomed terrain. The Riglet Park and Birch Run Terrain Park are both open. The 24-hour forecast is calling for snow and sleet with another 2 to 5 inches of accumulation possible with a high of 30 degrees.

A couple photos from yesterday
