Winter at Smugglers' Notch Vermont

Smuggs is Keepin' It Fresh this Winter!

Smuggs is dedicated to the environment, and you can help!

At Smugglers', we're committed to preserving this sacred ground through our Keepin' It Fresh efforts. Smuggs has been dedicated to the environment for years, in fact we're the only Resort to be recognized as a Vermont Business Environmental Leader for our focus on water quality & conservation, waste management, energy efficiency, and wildlife and habitat protection. When you purchase your Pass or Badge this Winter, you'll automatically be participating in our Keepin' It Fresh efforts. We're all in this together, and we want to make it easy for you to make a difference.

You can learn more about Smuggs many environmental initiatives, including our designation as a Vermont Business Environmental Leader on our: Environment Page.

SkiCool: Our SkiCool program is included for all Pass & Badge holders. Through our partnership with Native Energy, a portion of every Pass & Badge sale will offset the CO2 emissions from skiing operations by funding the development of a renewable methane energy source right here in Vermont. By offsetting these emissions, we are offering a 100% climate neutral skiing experience for Pass & Badge holders. For more information, or to learn how you can further help to fight global warming by offsetting your travel to and from the resort, visit the Native Energy website.

Free Weekend & Holiday Transportation from Chittenden, Lamoille and Franklin counties: Every time you take advantage of our free bus transportation to and from Smuggs, you're helping to fight global warming. By leaving the driving to us, you're not creating the CO2 emissions that you would generate by driving here in your own vehicle. It's not just convenient, but it's also good for the environment.

We've got a bus leaving from your doorstep in Chittenden (Burlington and Essex route), Franklin (St. Albans and Fairfax route), and Lamoille (Morrisville and Johnson route) counties.

RideShare website! Another way that you can reduce your contributions to global warming is to carpool to and from the resort. We'll help to make it easy for you to offer rides, and to find a ride from your area. Click here to visit the RideShare section of the website where you can post an offer for a ride, and where you can post that you're looking for a ride. Not only will you help the environment, but you'll meet new skiers and riders, and you'll be doing your part to keep this ground sacred.
