Hey, are you guys gonna have birch up this weekend still. Would be cool if you made a spring setup with a bunch of down rails and a big jump, kind of like a last hoorah.

I liked Birch Run the most throughout this year, the rails were nice, and the jump was pretty solid for a little park.
However, there are many improvements that should be made in the Zone. For starters, it should be a lap park, which this year it wasn't really. I also think it needs a lot more features, the jumps were especially week. For next year, if it had two sets of rails/boxes before the first jump, and then a second set of jumps, either the same size or bigger than the 'big air' set this year. Over/between the third knuckle and the bottom, it would be great to see some more rails, a cannon there would be really fun, and a down flat down instead of a flat down flat. It would also be nice to have a jump line in the Zone somewhere. All in all, the parks weren't too bad this year.
The Nights Revenge park, was kind of a let down, I hiked around in it a little this summer, and it looked pretty sick, but when skiing it, most of the features were un hittable, if the log rails were downs instead of flats, and generally lower to the ground, it would be a lot more fun.
I think it would be a huge improvement to have Rick Witham calling the shots again for the parks.
Thanks

I really enjoyed the big air jump. It was built perfectly. Same with the jump above it. I would love to see a jump like the big air one all year long. It was unfortunate that it was only there for a few weeks considering everyone really progressed on it. I really like all the handrails you guys have put in this year and would love to see more of that coming into next season. Bigger urban ons would be sweet and maybe some more down rails. An elbow rail would be really cool

That's awesome but you guys need to work on maintaining the zone and birch, the landings are full of holes

I completely agree with Mark. I was also really upset that birch run had no jumps, until I remembered that the jumps that were there weren't good either. The jumps in birch should be stepdowns, not tables, and should have gradual take off's and gaps bigger than 1-2 feet. In my opinion you should have two stepdowns where the jumps usually are, the bigger one about 10 feet and the small one 5, and where the hip was, have another set of stepdowns. This would really give the park better flow, and would keep more people coming back. also, you should make the flat round metal rail a down rail, which would be more fun than it is now.

Hello Smuggs Park Crew, I would like to let you guys know that this year, the park is really lacking in creativity and quality. I understand that you haven't really had the best 2 winters but going through birch run, probably your most popular park, today, I found myself extremely disappointed with a lack of any jumps whatsoever. I really do understand that you guys don't have a lot of snow, but be creative, i don't want to go through a run of all flat boxes and rails all day. Next year, i get my license, and i know that me and most of my friends who will also have their license's next year, won't hesitate to drive the extra distance to a mountain that actually has a park that doesn't disappoint weekly. I'm telling you this, not to be mean, but to make you guys aware of how people are feeling about your parks. If you don't make what the skiers and riders want, they'll just leave, it's as simple as that.

Glad to see the sidewalk box in Birch is level. The slight pitch was meaningless. The flat-down-flat was a great addition. It would be nice to see some mellow jib feature in the playground where you can actually hike.
