Black Bear Tavern Après Sport Party - The location for Upper Mountain off-slope fun! Check out the expanded draft line-up featuring Fiddlehead. Beginning at 2:00 pm, Jammin' Sam plays guitar and sings. It's a great place to meet other riders and skiers and some of the locals. Ages 21 & older.

Maple Sugar Festival at the Boyden Valley Winery -
The Boyden Valley Winery will host a variety of special activities from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm including sugar on snow, maple syrup sample tastings, and winery tours at 11:30 am and 1:00 pm (tours suitable for all ages). There will also be featured tastings of the winery's Vermont Maple Reserve, Gold Leaf wine, and Vermont Ice Maple Crème liqueur. Plenty to satisfy your sweet tooth also - donuts with maple cream, mini cupcakes and more. Stay for Lunch with Smokin’ Butts Barb-B-Que and receive a half price voucher for a glass of hard cider to enjoy along with your meal! The Boyden Valley Winery is conveniently located at the junction of Routes 104 and 15 in Cambridge, just 7 miles from Smugglers' Notch! Free parking, no admission fee. Maple Open House Weekend - This weekend is Vermont's official celebration of our state's maple sugaring heritage, when when sugarmakers across the state open their doors to visitors with tours and an array of maple products for sale. Use Smugglers' as your home base to visit maple sugarhouses! For a listing of open sugarhouses around the state visit vermontmaple.org

Blast From the Past Race - The Smugglers' Notch Ski & Snowboard Club invites skiers (21 & over) to bash gates and relive their glory days with a qualifying GS course beginning at 9:30 am (two runs; best run of two) followed by a pro-style dual SL course for the top 16 men and the top 8 women. The equipment doesn't have to be "old," just the racers. Hamburger/hot dog barbecue and beverages included in the entry fee of $35. Registration takes place from 7:30 am - 9:00 am; inspection from 8:15 am - 9:15 am. It's the 21st year of Blast from the Past - come celebrate!

22nd Annual BrewFest Part 2 - Sample the finest in craft beers and regional favorites, plus ciders! A DJ spins the tunes and the Resort's Mountain Grille puts on a tasty appetizer buffet, plus munchies and prizes. From 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm in the Meeting House. Tickets are available at the door. $20 entry includes 8 samples and a souvenir sampling glass. 21 & older, please. BrewFest group lodging packages are available for groups of 20 or more; please call 800-521-0536.

Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. Free Cone Day has been a beloved April tradition since the iconic ice cream company's first anniversary in 1979! Swing by the Smugglers' Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm, or any other participating Scoop Shop during your Vermont visit and enjoy a free cone!

The Drench Trench - Pond Skimming For Good — Presented by Sierra Nevada — BIG foot, Elvis, a gorilla, guys in bikinis — you'll see it all in the Zone Terrain Park during The Drench Trench pond skimming event! Registration for this free event starts at 10:00 am at the Smuggs tent located in Parking Lot 1. Drench The Trench – Pond Skimming For Good kicks off at high noon on Saturday! Skiers and Snowboarders compete for BIG prizes; biggest splash, best costume, and "best" digger(fall). Our guest DJ will entertain from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm, don't miss the party, brought to you by Sierra Nevada and Smugglers' Notch Resort.
The Drench Trench - Pond Skimming Rules:
- Ages 8 & older
- Two skims per participant
- No poles or sharp objects
- Alpine or Nordic (traditional x-country or mountaineering gear) skis, and snowboards are allowed. NO snow skates, jack jumpers, kayaks, etc.
- Inverts are not recommended


2017 Backcountry Basecamp - Come join the editors of Backcountry Magazine for a resort-based showcase of all things backcountry. For nearly 20 years Backcountry Magazine has been the leading source for the backcountry movement and now they are bringing that expertise to a one-on-one setting through their Backcountry Basecamp Tour at Smugglers' Notch. Weekend activities feature alpine touring, avalanche training, demos, trade displays, and on mountain course treks. This event is free and on a first-come first-served basis.

Chillin' & Grillin' Annual Tailgate Party - Smugglers’ Notch Resort’s Annual Chillin' & Grillin' Tailgate Party brings our mountain community of skiers and riders together for one "springtacular" event - Chillin' & Grillin', a festive celebration of Spring in the mountains! Smuggs invites you to show your best Spring flair, food, and tailgating set-up in Parking Lot 1. And bring your dancing shoes; we'll have music throughout the day! Registration for this free event is 10:30 am – 11:30 am at the Smuggs tent located in Parking Lot 1. Judging will take place between 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm. Prizes, and bragging rights, awarded in 3 unique categories:
   • Best Smuggs-themed tailgate(flair/festive/fun)
   • Best original recipe (main dish/side dish/drink)
   • Best barbecue

Bunco Night - Calling all Bunco fans! The Cambridge Rotary sponsors a Bunco Night at the Barn at Smugglers' Notch from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Enjoy a silent auction, prizes, raffle, and cash bar. $15 per person. Tickets are available for purchase at Jack F. Corse Inc., Cambridge Village Market, The Varnum Library, Susan Lassiter at The Union Bank, Anita Lotto or any Cambridge Area Rotarian. Proceeds benefit the Cambridge Rotary Community causes. Tickets also can be purchased online at Brown Paper Tickets

Easter Weekend Fun! - Don't miss out on a hopping good time! Join us for these fun activities for all ages!
   * Easter Arts and Crafts Party at 11:00 am at the Yurt by Courtside Pool
   * Eggtastic Scavenger Hunt - Meet at 1:00 pm by the fire pit in the Village Courtyard to get your hunt list. Return to the Courtyard by 3:00 pm.
   * The Bunny Hop dance party at 6:00 pm in the Meeting House
   * Hop, the movie, on the big screen at 7:30 pm in the Meeting House

Sunday, April 16
Easter Summit Sunrise Service - On Easter Sunday, conditions permitting, the Sterling lift will transport attendees up the mountain free of charge to participate in a non-denominational service and Easter message by a local minister. Lift loading begins at 6:00 am and ends promptly at 6:30 am. No experience with riding the chairlift is necessary. Following the service, guests may ski or snowboard to the base area or ride the lift back down the mountain.

Please note: The service is held outdoors. All participants are advised to dress very warmly for the much cooler and windier conditions typically found on the mountaintop. If riding the lift round trip for the service, warm and waterproof boots are recommended. Be prepared to walk in the snow from the lift unloading station to the gathering spot about 200 yards away.

Parking is available in any of the resort's upper mountain lots. For information or questions regarding the service, please call 802-644-8572. The service will not take place in the event of inclement weather. Any changes to this event will be posted here.
