Never in a million years did I ever think I could become a spy, but there I was, mere minutes from completing my final challenge. I had put in countless hours, enduring feats of patience, strength, and intellectual power. My training ranged from reading to mind-bending drills like diving deep underwater to find hidden objects, to hundreds of hours in that Smuggs Warrior course up at the Mountain. I felt like I had done it all. And then everything came down to this moment. What would happen? Would I make it?
The initial challenge was a test of speed. I had to break every single beam as it appeared. At first, no big deal. But as time went on, they came faster and in an unpredictable pattern. I was sweating, but successful nonetheless.
Smugglers' has invested over 4 million dollars into the FunZone 2.0, a 26,000 square foot, one of a kind, indoor entertainment complex geared toward bringing everyone in the family together to create lasting memories. We are proud to feature this fun and unique Lazer Frenzy laser maze as part of this massive new project. With the wide variety of activities spread throughout various zones, everyone in the family will want to experience the Next Dimension of Family Fun!
The next challenge was to make it from start to finish without crossing any of the beams. It sounded far easier to me than it was, or so I quickly realized upon entering the maze. After years of training I thought I could do it all, but this challenge seemed different. I took a deep breath and began moving through the room full of lasers. Up over this one, down under the next one, and in-between the others. I was pretty successful so far, but things quickly became much more complicated. "They expect me to do what??" I thought, looking at the maneuver I would need to carry out next. I was beginning to feel like Gumby. Somehow, I would need to slide tight against the floor, then up over the next one, all while pressed right up against a wall! Taking another deep breath and exhaling just about every last bit of air in my lungs, I went for it. Success! Three more levels of increasing difficulty to go. Just as I tackled the first challenges, I took a deep breath and tried my hardest. As it turns out, all that training came in handy, and I’m now on my way to my first real missions!
