Smugglers' Notch Vermont - Press Releases

Winter 2016-2017

MapleFest Celebration at Smugglers' Notch Resort in Vermont sweetens spring vacations

During March 18 - April 2, 2017, Smugglers' Notch Resort's MapleFest Celebration will immerse guests in the traditions of the sugaring season, right in the geographic heart of Vermont's renowned maple syrup production. This event was chosen as one of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce Top 10 Winter Events for 2016/2017.

The MapleFest Celebration includes the following complimentary activities for guests who visit the resort on Smugglers' vacation packages: a maple welcome gift, specialty food and beverage samplings and sugar on snow during a weekly carnival, a maple themed activity book for children and learning experiences that include visits to a local sugarhouse and to Father Winter's slopeside tipi. Fee-based programs with a maple flavor include daytime snowshoe or walking treks. Smugglers' restaurants and area dining will highlight menu items enhanced with maple, and area shopping will highlight maple products.

During MapleFest Celebration, Smugglers' Winter vacation packages are priced at the season's lowest rates starting at $99 per night per youth ages 3-17 and $129 per night per adult.

Vacation packages at Smugglers' include mountainside condominium lodging, lift tickets, snow tubing, use of the indoor pool and hot tub and indoor FunZone with climbing inflatables and games, and family and adult entertainment. Skiers and riders can choose from several packages ranging from a ski and stay experience to a package with adult and youth ski and ride instruction inclusions. Smugglers Winter Experience package is available for Resort guests seeking a varied menu of non-skiing and non-snowboarding recreational choices and fun experiences.

During Smugglers' MapleFest Celebration, skiers and riders will savor the Spring mountain experience as sunshine and blue skies highlight longer days, and warmer temperatures yield soft snow that's easy to learn or improve on. At Smugglers', three mountains encompass 1000 acres of terrain, with learning areas for beginners and novices, as well as intermediate and expert terrain. Off slope activities include a year-round zip line canopy tour with zip lines, a suspension bridge and two rappels; health and wellness programs; and family and adult entertainment.
