NEW FOR WINTER 2018-2019

Smugglers’ continues to grow the level of which they appeal to families with their free Kids’ Club. Unrolled last Winter as a test run, Smugglers’ Kids’ Club offers all kids 12 and under a free “treasure chest” of goodies. Parents just have to say, “Sounds great” when checking in, and kids are given a free reusable lunch bag of goodies including coloring books, coupons, free offers, stickers, and more. The idea here is to be sure all kids have some activities to keep them thinking about Winter while parents do parent things, like check-in/check-out, planning, and the like. The coloring book features highlighted kid-friendly activities each day. This helps drive awareness to some of our more popular activities and gives kids the option to check off each activity from a grid in the back of the coloring book. The Kids’ Club test run was a great success, so we’re tying it in with special offers each month this season. The weeks of 12/16-12/21, 1/13-1/18, 2/3-2/8, and 3/3-3/8, Smugglers’ will offer all guests staying on any Club Smugglers’ package FREE lessons and rentals for kids 12 and under!

Smugglers’ premiere banked slalom course on Madonna Mountain will open new doors for intermediates and experts both in and out of lessons. The course will act as a great tool for expanding skiers’ and riders’ horizons, adding a whole new element of fun to learning new skills. Smugglers’ philosophy has and continues to be all about embracing the natural terrain offered by our three mountains. Not only does it give us fun challenges to play with the rolling, rugged natural terrain at Smugglers’, but it helps us all grow as well-rounded skiers and riders. The banked slalom course will also host a series of events this upcoming Winter season.

Fat Bikes give Winter access to Smugglers’ expansive cross-country MTB terrain. We’re looking forward to introducing Fat Biking to our list of activities this Winter. Fat tire bikes will allow guests to roll around in snowy terrain. We’re pleased to bring this popular activity to our mountain, as it provides yet another option for fun, and is less-reliant on perfect snow conditions. Rental bikes will be available, and our event staff is working on planning some bike-specific Winter events!

New Wintersteiger tuning machine puts a whole new edge on your skiing and riding. This machine offers far more options than the one we currently use, including base edge bevels as low as ¼ degree. Additionally, the machine is more sensitive to the array of profiles now offered by ski companies.
