More sunshine in store for tomorrow

Mulcahy’s Link with Mount Mansfield in the background

I want to thank our groomers for all their hard work last night and early this morning. They were able to get a great deal done in a short amount of time. Temperatures will stay below freezing tonight, so we won’t have to do a late morning groom. We plan to have lifts running at the regular scheduled times. The Madonna 1 Lift will not operate tomorrow.  In the case of a lift evacuation the icy surface on Madonna Liftline would make it hard to get the skiers and rider off the mountain safely. Thank you for your understanding. Tomorrow we plan to have skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 7 lifts operating. We plan to have 37 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. All 37 trails will be groomed for tomorrow for a grand total of 138 acres of freshly groomed terrain. The best skiing and riding right now is the groomed terrain. The woods and back country are a little icy. They would be more enjoyable with a different surface condition. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 14 to 52 inches. Currently it is sunny and 29 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 10 to 20 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 29 degrees. The Molly Fund Rail Jam is tomorrow in the bottom half of the Zone Terrain Park. Sign up in the yurt in parking lot #1.
