Mountains of adventure and mountains of fun

We received 8 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 34 inches in the past week. Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 7 lifts operating. The Madonna I Lift will have a delayed opening due to cold temperatures and wind. The Madonna II Lift will open at 8:30 am tomorrow morning. We now have 71 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 24 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Goat Path and Lower Pipeline for a grand total of 107 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 14 to 46 inches. Snowmaking tonight on Lower FIS. Birch Run Terrain Park is now open with 3 jumps, a spine, and a rail.

Currently, it is cloudy and 0 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tonight’s forecast is calling for snow showers with an inch of accumulation possible. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for partly sunny skies and a high of 9 degrees. Bundle up and enjoy the wonderful conditions!
