Another wonderful day at Smuggs

Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 5 lift operating, including the Madonna I lift. We plan to have 64 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 14 to 46 inches. 20 trails will be groomed tonight, including Curley’s Cutback and Smugglers’ Alley for a grand total of 89 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We are presently making snow on Lower FIS. Tonight we plan to make snow on Lower Madonna Liftline and Lower FIS. Tomorrow Upper FIS will be closed due to snowmaking operations. Black Snake will be closed below the open meadow for a ski race tomorrow. Snake Bite will also be closed. Both trails will open once the race is complete around 2:00 pm. The race will also be on the Practice Slope next to the T-Bar. To return to Parking Lot #1 you could cut over from Lower Exhibition to the Practice Slope. Then please cross the racecourse at mid-station on the T-Bar. Make sure to look up when crossing a racecourse to make sure no one is coming. Full Nelson and Jolly Rodger can be accessed from Pipeline. Currently, it is partly sunny and 1 degree at the summit of Sterling. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies and a high of 18 degrees.
