Billy Bob Bear did not fall down. He was so excited about all the snow that he made a snow angel!
Lifts and Trails
Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 4 lifts operating; Madonna I Lift, Sterling Lift, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 63 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 20 to 50 inches. 21 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Thomke’s, and Lower Morse Liftline for a grand total of 83 acres of freshly groomed terrain.

We are presently making snow on Midway and Curley’s Cutback. Our snowmakers will be moving to Sterling Mountain tonight. They plan to take full advantage of the cooler temperatures and light up Black Snake and the Practice Slope.
Currently it is partly sunny and 5 degrees at the summit of Sterling with wind of 0 to 5 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees.

Today was just about perfect. The colder temperatures last night allowed the snow to set up. Our groomers did a great job on Upper FIS, Smugglers’ Alley, Upper Pipeline, Bootlegger, Snake Bite, and many more.

The sun was working its magic turning the loose granular into corn snow. I had so much fun skiing with my family and good friends. Everyone was having a great time enjoying the sunshine and soft conditions. There was such a great time vibe going on today.

I found a lost phone today on Sterling Mountain. I was about to bring it to the Base Lodge Ticket Booth when I started receiving text messages on the lost phone. We were able to arrange a meeting in the Upper Parking Lot where the nice family was reunited with their lost phone.
Tomorrow’s is going to be another beautiful day with mostly sunny skies and temperatures between 33 and 44 degrees. We have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 7 lifts operating and 37 trails open.
