Summer Teen Experience

Convincing your teen to put down their phones and leave their friends to go on a family vacation might be a challenge. Luckily, at Smuggs, we have more for your teenagers to do than they ever thought possible! From zip lining and mountain biking to water wars and warrior courses, the days will be filled with non-stop fun and excitement. Of course, there will be plenty of time spent together as a family, but when they’re ready to experience a little independence, your teen can hop on the shuttle and hang with guests their own age!

Day 1: Arrive and Acquaint

Your family can check in to the condo at Smugglers’ Notch Resort in the late afternoon. After unpacking and taking in all your condo has to offer, it might be the perfect time for your teen to visit Teen Alley, located in the Village. It’s just a few steps away from all the fun of the basketball and volleyball courts, corn hole, shuffleboard, and bocce! Make sure they practice their corn hole for the tournament later in the day.

Evening

Speaking of fun and games, early evening is the perfect time to join Jammin’ Sam for Family Games on the Green. Feeling competitive? Sign up for the Corn Hole tournament! Hope you practiced!

At this point in the day, we’re guessing you and the kids are ready to do your own thing. Parents, why not stroll over to comedy night while the kids test their knowledge at Teen Jeopardy at Teen Alley? When the day is done, everyone can hop on the shuttle back to the room.

Day 2: Yoga, Pickleball, and Waterparks

Morning

Wake up and start the day with morning yoga. Strengthen your mind and body before breakfast and prepare for a full day of adventure. Whether you choose breakfast in the condo or a coffee from the Perk, you will be good to go.

After breakfast, gather the troops and head to Intro to Pickleball. Nothing says family fun like a friendly courtside competition. You can learn the skills of the game taking over the nation. The rules are simple, and it’s a ton of fun!

After working up a bit of a sweat on the court, make your way to one of the Resorts pools and waterparks, complete with waterslides, and lazy rivers. The kids can shoot down the Flume slide or shoot hoops at the Courtside Pool while you and Dad order a daiquiri or pina colada from ReFuel Café.

Afternoon

Recharge at ReFuel Café for lunch, which offers a variety of options suitable for all ages, including the exciting new make-your-own Sundae bar! And after, why not stop by the Woodland mini golf course and shoot for a hole-in-one?

Make yourself the perfect one-of-a-kind souvenir of your Smuggs vacation at tie-dye Smuggs-style. Swirl and style your own Smuggs t-shirt as a keepsake of your family vacation.

Evening

Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant or cook up a feast in your condo’s fully-equipped kitchen. But just because the sun goes down doesn’t mean the fun stops. Keep the fun-loving day going! While you and Dad visit Bootlegger’s Lounge for Adult Karaoke, your teen can head to the teens-only Moonlight Swim at the Courtside pool, where they can swim under the stars.

Day 3: Fun, Fitness, and Family

Morning

Get your heart pumping before breakfast by visiting the Courtside pool for a lap swim or an aqua fitness class. Now that you’re feeling fit, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and plan out today’s family-friendly activities.

One way to come together is the Big Smuggle. Let your teen take the lead for the fast-paced family fun race around the village of the Resort. Develop your strategy to outwit and outmatch your opponents, and then the race is on!

Afternoon

Smuggs is home to two of the most beautiful disc golf courses in the world, Brewster Ridge and Fox Run. Disc golf is the perfect activity for a day of high-flying fun with your teen. There is something special about being out on the picturesque courses among the Green Mountains in Jeffersonville, Vermont. Grab a frisbee and experience the joy of giving it a good toss and watching it soar through the air.

Evening

Recharge after a jam-packed day with a delicious sit-down dinner at Hearth & Candle. This cozy restaurant offers a full-service bar and extensive wine list that will complement your dining experience. Now that you’re happy and full, head back to your condo and relax while your teen heads over to Teen Alley for a Black Light Party, shoot some pool, or play ping pong. When the fun winds down, they can hop on the shuttle and get dropped off right at your door.

Day 4: Tennis, Trails, and Togetherness

Morning

For the early risers in the family, try your hand at tennis while the rest of the crew sleeps in. Explore the game of tennis with foam balls and fun play that emphasizes fundamental skills. When everyone’s awake and ready to go, head to the Morse Mountain Grille for a sit-down breakfast and chat about the fun to be had the rest of the day.

Morning is the perfect time to explore the Resort’s extensive network of mountain biking trails, which range from beginner-friendly paths to adrenaline-pumping downhill runs. You can also sign up for a guided e-bike adventure. Your teen will work up a sweat on the trails.

Midday

Head to FunZone 2.0 for a morning of indoor and outdoor fun, including a giant inflatable slide, obstacle course mini-golf, and laser tag. If you have a daredevil in the family, try taking the Leap of Faith. If you know, you know.

Afternoon

Because Smuggs is nestled among the mountains, we’re surrounded by the beauty of nature. Take it all in with a guided wike to discover hidden waterfalls, panoramic viewpoints, and the natural beauty of the Green Mountains. Or try our family wilderness survival workshop, Bound by Nature. Learn essential skills like fire building, water and food gathering, shelter making, and making your own fishing pole while soaking in the natural beauty and history of our area.

Evening

Gather your family for a cozy evening in your condo, complete with board games, movie night, or sharing highlights and stories from the weekend.

If your teen isn’t ready for the day to end, Teen Night Spiker Volleyball is a shuttle ride to the volleyball courts behind Teen Alley.

When everyone’s back in the room, it’s the perfect time to reflect on your unforgettable Smugglers’ Notch adventure and start planning your next visit!
