The Opening Day of the 2021 – 2022 Winter Season is this Thursday, December 2nd. Our snowmakers have been very busy getting the slopes ready for skiing and riding! On Thursday we plan to have the Sterling Lift operating with 4 intermediate trails open. We plan to have more terrain open in the near future.
We anticipate heavy snowfall tonight into tomorrow morning, accompanied by high winds. Assuming the forecast for over a foot of new snow in the higher elevations comes true, uphill access will be available this weekend on Madonna and Morse ONLY. Please stay off Sterling so as not to interfere with ongoing snowmaking and grooming operations. If you go, remember, there is no base under the coming new snow so hazards will be abundant and there is no rescue; abundant caution is advised. No Dogs. Park in Lot #3.

The arrival of snow on the mountain has gotten all of us psyched to see skiing & riding arriving soon to the slopes of Smuggs. It is early season and our snowmakers are on point to make snow when temperatures permit. Temperatures moving forward are variable through Thanksgiving, which may make it difficult to have man-made snow opportunities. We are projecting opening on Friday, November 26, weather-dependent.
