Annual Pond Skimming is tomorrow Saturday, April 2nd!

Elvis, a gorilla, guys in bikinis – you’ll see it all in the Zone Terrain Park during Pond Skimming! Registration for this free event starts at 10:00 am at the Smugglers’ Notch tent in Parking Lot 1 for the first 100 people only. The first skimmer launches toward the pond at 12:00 noon. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume. A “don’t miss” for spectators!

Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 5 lifts operating, including Madonna I. We have 28 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 28 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Upper FIS, and Snow Snake for a grand total of 118 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 8 to 52 inches. Tonight’s forecast is calling for snow showers with 3 to 5 inches of accumulation possible on top. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for sunny skies with a high of 39 degrees at the base and 25 degrees at higher elevations.

The pond is looking good!
