A few more inches of new snow

We received 21 inches of new snow in the past week and 121 inches this season so far.

Lifts and Trails

Today we have 3 lifts operating; Sterling Lift, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 30 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 14 trails have been groomed for today, that’s 56 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 20 to 50 inches.

Snowmaking

Last night we made snow on Midway, Birch Run, Lower Morse Liftline, and Sam’s Run. We are presently making snow on Curley’s Cutback, Sam’s Run, and Dixie’s Knoll.

Weather

Currently it is 10 degrees at the summit of Sterling with light snow and winds of 10 to 20 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for a chance of snow showers early with skies becoming sunny later in the day and temperatures between 1o and 22 degrees.

Lift and Trails

Midway is now open. Today we have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 4 lifts operating; Madonna I Lift, Sterling Lift, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 65 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 22 trails have been groomed for today, including Garden Path, Thomke’s, and Upper Drifter for a grand total of 91 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Most trails are covered with natural snow, so be aware and ski or ride with care. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 20 to 50 inches.

Snowmaking

Last night we made snow on Lower FIS, Midway, Lower Madonna Liftline, and in front of the Base Lodge. We are presently making snow at the top of Morse, Midway, and Curley’s Cutback.

Weather

Currently it is 0 degrees at the summit of Sterling with beautiful sunny skies and winds of 0 to 5 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a chance of snow showers late in the day and a high of 18 degrees.

We have 46 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 29 trails have been groomed for today, including Upper Chilcoot, Black Snake, and Midway for a grand total of 120 acres of the freshly groomed terrain. Today’s forecast is partly sunny skies with increasing clouds later in the day with temperatures between 29 and 42 degrees. Currently it is cloudy and 29 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph.
