We have 78 skiable trails and 66 lift accessible trails open today. The Madonna I lift is presently on wind hold. We have 7 lifts operating and 43 trails have been groomed for today, that’s 158 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are powder and packed powder with average base depths of 24 to 54 inches.

New Snow

We received 2 to 3 inches of new snow last night, 15 inches in the past week, and 303 inches this season so far!

Lifts and Trails

We are 100 percent open! We have top to bottom skiing and riding on all  3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. All 78 trails are open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are powder and packed powder with average base depths of 24 to 54 inches. 43 trails have been groomed for today, including Upper Drifter, Hangman’s Drop, and Hibernator for a grand total of 156 acres of freshly groomed  terrain. Upper FIS is groomed on skier’s right from Catwalk down to the Doc’s cutoff and from there down it is groomed full width.

New Snow

We received 2 to 3 inches of new snow overnight, 15 inches in the past week, and 303 inches this season so far!

Weather

Currently it is 28 degrees at the summit of Sterling with flurries and winds of 10 to 20 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for a chance of mix early then becoming snow later an inch of accumulation possible with temperatures between 25 and 39 degrees.

Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have all 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 24 to 54 inches.  We plan to groom 43 trails tonight, including Upper FIS, Smugglers’ Alley, and Snow Snake for a grand total of 156 acres.

Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for a chance of mix early becoming snow later with temperatures between 21 and 39 degrees.

Rockin’ Ron for Hugh. Ski Vermont hosts the Specialty Food Tour today at Smuggs from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Folks take time from the slopes to sample a wide variety of edibles and imbibe-ables, from craft beverages to gluten-free snacks. I loved the sign that said “Vermont – without us your pancakes would be useless”.

Rockin’ Ron for Hugh. Whilst strolling to Snow Report Central, I spotted a Groomer on the Tubing Hill. Our Activities Department offers nightly tube sliding. It’s FUN for the whole family!

Surface conditions are powder and packed powder with average base depths of 24 to 54 inches. We plan to groom 37 trails for tomorrow, including Ruthie’s, Snow Snake, and Smugglers’ Alley for a grand total of 151 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We also plan to groom Upper FIS tonight, skier’s right from Catwalk down to the Doc cutoff and full width from Doc cutoff down.
