Wild weather day

Today started off with cloudy skies and some rain. Midday the clouds opened up for a while to let the sunshine through. The sky then turned dark and it began to rain again and get windy. We then had to shut down the lifts due to thunderstorms in the area. The weather will change again tonight and tomorrow. Tonight’s forecast is calling for a mix of rain and snow. The forecast for tomorrow is a chance of a snow shower early then skies becoming partly sunny in the afternoon with a high of 44 degrees. Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna I Lift. We plan to have 32 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are variable and machine groomed with average base depths of 10 to 44 inches. 23 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Chilcoot, Garden Path, and Treasure Run for a grand total of 97 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Some trails may have a delayed opening in the morning due to grooming.
