Today we had cooler temperatures, wind, and snow. We received 2 to 4 inches of new snow on top today and 6 inches in the past 3 days. Currently, it is sunny and 23 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 61 degrees at the base and 52 degrees at upper elevations. Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 4 lifts operating, including the Madonna I Lift. We plan to have 29 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. More trails may open throughout the day as the snow softens up. 25 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Snow Snake, and Chilcoot for a grand total of 107 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Midway will be open tomorrow, but Meadowlark will not.
Uphill traffic will be allowed on Madonna Mountain tomorrow from 4:30 pm till 7:30 pm. Please do not stay longer so that our groomers can do their job. Sterling Mountain is open to uphill traffic daily from 5:30 am till 7:30 am. Morse Mountain is open to uphill traffic daily from 5:00 pm till 10:00 pm.
