Tomorrow we plan to have 5 lifts operating; Sterling Lift, Village Lift, Sir Henry’s Glider, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, and Madonna II Lift. We have 21 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 18 out of the 21 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley for a grand total of 74 acres of freshly groomed terrain. A little fresh snow

We received an inch of new snow on top overnight. The mild temperatures along with the new snow is making for some nice soft conditions. The snow is very edgeable and a ton of fun! Happy New Year’s Eve!

We received a dusting to an inch of new snow on top overnight. Today we plan to have 5 lifts operating; Sterling Lift, Village Lift, Sir Henry’s Glider, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, and Madonna II Lift. The Madonna II Lift will be open today from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm. We now have 21 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 18 out of the 21 trails have been groomed for today, including Smugglers’ Alley, Lower FIS, and Howie’s Wanderer. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 6 to 32 inches. Currently it is foggy and 30 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 0 to 5 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for a nice variety of winter weather conditions. There is a chance of snow and freezing drizzle before 11 am, then a slight chance of snow and rain between 11 am and 1 pm, and then a chance of rain after 1 pm. Cloudy with a chance of patchy freezing fog before 11 am and patchy fog between 11 am and 1 pm. Today’s high temperature is 36 degrees.

We opened Lower Birch Run, Snow Snake, Curley’s Cutback, and Sam’s Run. New Year’s Eve Uphill Special

Madonna Mountain will be open for uphill travel from 8:00 pm till 12:30 am tomorrow night. Sterling Mountain is still closed. Our groomers will till out Lower FIS and Mulcahy’s Link after we close tomorrow afternoon. Please wait until 8:00 pm before heading up to give our groomers time to finish up on Lower FIS and Mulcahy’s Link. There will be no rescue service, so be safe. Happy New Year!

Around the world is a phrase used to describe skiing or riding Midway to Curley’s Cutback then Meadowlark. This is a nice long novice loop that brings you from the top of Morse back to the Village. Curley’s Cutback opened today! Snow Snake and Sam’s Run are also now open. We have 5 lifts operating and 21 trails open with terrain for all ability levels.

Last night and early this morning we made snow on Curley’s Cutback, Sam’s Run, and Snow Snake. 17 out of the 19 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley and Lower FIS for a grand total of 70 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and loose granular with average base depths of 6 to 32 inches. Currently, it is partly cloudy and 27 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 0 to 10 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for a chance of snow early in the day becoming a mix later with a high of 35 degrees.
