Natural snow and snowmaking

We received 2 to 3 inches of new snow today and we’re making snow on Lower Morse mountain. We are presently making snow on Lower Morse Liftline, Sir Henry’s, Magic Learning Trail, Howie’s Wanderer, and the Burton Riglet Park. We plan to have more terrain open this weekend! Currently, it is still snowing and 15 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tonight‘s forecast is calling for snow showers with another 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies and a chance of light snow early and a high of 23 degrees. Tomorrow we plan to have Sterling Lift operating with 7 trails open. We only have intermediate and expert terrain open at this time. Five out of the seven trails will be groomed for tomorrow. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 6 to 30 inches.
