I was snowboarding down to the Village Lift when I saw this child sitting under a snowgun. He was sitting on top of a snowmaking whale and was just letting the snow build upon him. I believe that he is in his happy place!
Tomorrow we plan to have 4 lifts operating. The Village Lift and Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift are open to mid-station. We also have Sterling Lift and Sir Henry’s Glider open. We have 12 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 11 out of the 12 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley for a grand total of 39 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 6 to 32 inches. We are presently making snow on Garden Path, Midway, and Meadowlark. Currently, it is partly cloudy and 15 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with scattered snow showers and an inch of accumulation possible with a high of 24 degrees. Uphill travel is closed on Sterling Mountain. Madonna Mountain is open for uphill travel but is not recommended.
