Fresh snow

We received 10 to 12 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 161 inches this season so far! The new snow made a huge difference in the surface conditions today. The skiing and riding just got better as the day went on. Ski Patrol dropped the ropes on natural snow trails like Harvey’s Hideaway, Jolly Rodger, the Shire, Ruthie’s, and Gary B’s. The new snow will also groom in quite nicely with the existing snow on snowmaking trails. Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have 43 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 14 to 50 inches. 34 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Upper FIS, Smugglers’ Alley, Thomke’s, McPherson’s, Hibernator, Curley’s Cutback, and Snow Snake for a grand total of 133 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Tonight’s forecast is calling for some snow showers with another inch of accumulation possible. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 21 degrees at the base and 14 degrees at higher elevations. The forecast for Sunday is snow showers with 2 to 4 inches of accumulation possible.

Great conditions
I put my skis somewhere over here before lunch
