Great conditions

We received 4 to 6 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 10 inches in the past 3 days. The new snow allowed us to open some natural snow trails like Full Nelson, Harvey’s Hideaway, Goat Path, and Upper Exhibition. There’s more snow in the forecast tonight with 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible. It’s going to be pretty cold the next two days so make sure you don’t put away your puffy or hand warmers quite yet. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies, breezy, snow showers with 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible, a high of 15 degrees at the base and 6 degrees at higher elevations. We have 32 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 8 to 42 inches. 18 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Snow Snake, Birch Run, Garden Path, and Howie’s Wanderer for a grand total of 80 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 8 to 42 inches. Currently, it is snowing and 20 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 15 mph. Madonna Mountain will be closed tomorrow for grooming operations. Tomorrow we plan to have 4 lifts operating; Mogul Mouse’s Magic, Sterling, Village, and Sir Henry’s Glider. The Village Lift and Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift will open at 9 am tomorrow.
