We received snow 5 out of the past 6 days with a total of 20 inches. The clouds parted this morning and the sun was shining bright. The new snow was really light and fluffy. You just float through it and it does not toss you around. I skied this morning on Madonna and everything was open. I had some wonderful powder turns on Upper FIS, Lower Catwalk, Docs, McPherson’s, Red Fox Glades, Shire, Drifter, and Father Bob’s. I switched over to my snowboard in the afternoon and played on Morse Mountain. I decided to head over to the Morse Highlands area. I had a wonderful time finding some fresh turns on the side of Timberrr! The conditions are just fantastic and they are going to get even better. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for snow showers with 3 to 5 inches of accumulation possible, breezy with a high of 31 degrees at the base and 24 degrees at higher elevations. Tomorrow night’s forecast is also snow with another 1 to 3 inches. Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna I Lift. We have 76 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 36 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Upper FIS, Smugglers’ Alley, and Snow Snake for a grand total of 146 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 12 to 36 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 17 degrees at the summit of Sterling.

The Nordic Center is open with 17 km of cross-country trails and 15 km of snowshoeing trails. The ice rink is open.
