Making new friends

I was skiing down Garden Path today when I met Erin. Erin was working her way down the steep section of Garden Path. I stopped and gave her a few pointers on how to ski across the hill to reduce the pitch. Erin’s husband and friends were just down the trail a little ways. We all met up and then skied Garden Path and Sam’s Run together. I told them about Morse Highlands and they decided to go check it out. It was wonderful to meet all of you, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation. Safe travels on your way back to Ottawa.

Tomorrow, we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have 38 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 26 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Log Jam, Smugglers’ Alley, and McPherson’s, for a total of 108 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable, with average base depths of 12 to 36 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 27 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for cloudy skies with a chance of a snow shower, a high of 33 degrees at the base, and 28 degrees at higher elevations.
