Snowmaking, grooming, and more new snow!

Last night, we made snow on Magic Learning Trail, Lower Morse Liftline, and the base area of the upper mountains. We received 8 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 32 inches in the past week. The Madonna I Lift is presently on wind hold. We have 75 skiable trails and 56 lift-accessible trails open today. The Mogul Mouse Magic Lift, Madonna II Lift, Village Lift, Sterling Lift, Sir Henry’s Glider, and Morse Highlands Lift are operating today. Currently, it is snowing and 3 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusting higher. Today’s forecast is calling for snow showers with 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible, windy, with a high of 21 degrees at the base and 14 degrees at higher elevations. Surface conditions are powder and packed powder with average base depths of 14 to 40 inches. There is a winter storm warning for Friday night through Saturday night with a foot of new snow possible.
