1 inch of new snow overnight

Smugglers’ Alley was groomed last night

The new snow that we received last night is skiing very well. I skied Smugglers’ Alley and Upper FIS this morning. The fresh snow on top of the groomed snow is wonderful. Upper FIS was groomed on the skier’s / rider’s right side two snowcats wide from Catwalk down to the top of Dan’s Ford. Upper FIS is groomed full width from the top of Dan’s Ford down to Time Square. Time Square is the intersection at the bottom of Upper FIS, the bottom of Lower Drifter, and the top of McPherson’s.

Today we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna 1 Lift. We have 69 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 14 to 50 inches. 32 trails have been groomed for today, including Playground, Snow Snake, and the Practice Slope for a grand total of 127 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Currently it is 22 degrees at the summit of Sterling with light snow and winds of 10 to 20 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for mostly cloudy skies with a chance of snow showers early and a high of 30 degrees. Lower Knight’s Revenge is now open. Log Jam, Riglet, and Birch Run Terrain Park are all open.
