Canoeing & Kayaking Fall Outdoor Adventures at Smugglers' Notch
Outdoor canoe & kayak adventures - fun for all ages!
Paddle and explore the Lamoille River near Smugglers', or join our guides from Vermont Canoe and Kayak and paddle to a local winery for a delicious tasting.
Participants must provide own transportation to launch site. A canoe can hold two adults and up to two children, ages 12 or younger OR three persons ages 13 & older (one will be a non-paddler).
Canoe, Kayak, Tandem Kayak, and Stand Up Paddleboard(SUP) Rental Explore the scenic Lamoille River at your leisure. Professional guides from Vermont Canoe and Kayak will instruct you in paddling and water safety, then send you off on a paddling adventure. Rental times are on the hour.
Daily, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, on the hour. One-person kayak and SUP rentals $40, Canoe or tandem kayak rental $70. Trips are 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 hours. Advance registration required, limited space available.
Water and Wine Two tours in one-- Paddle in the boat of your choice down the river to the Boyden Valley Winery in Cambridge. Your guide will then take you from the river to the winery where you will be treated to a wine tour, wine tasting, and a platter of VT cheddar and baguettes. After your stay your guide will shuttle you back to your car at our outpost.
Fall Foliage Boat Tours Explore the beautiful, serene Waterbury Reservoir on this 1-hour trip with a guide from the Fly Rod Shop. Settled between two mountain ranges the Waterbury Reservoir offers extraordinary Fall foliage views and many varieties of wildlife.
Mon., Wed., & Fri. 11:00 am & 1:00 pm. Participants must provide own transportation. Advance sign-up required. Tours meet at the Fly Rod Shop in Stowe. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to start of trip. $40 per person. Available September 15 - October 19, 2015.
