In Spring, Smugglers' offers a convenient home base for fishing aficionados interested in exploring Vermont's lakes and waterways.
Lake Champlain is about an hour away, and many local lakes and the Lamoille River are within a short drive.
Guests are welcome to fish in the Resort's front pond, a beautiful spot with mountain views that is perfect for casting practice or a child's first introduction to fishing.
A Vermont fishing license is required for ages 15 and older. A wealth of information on the Vermont fishing season and where to buy a license can be found on the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department's website. Fly fishermen can find a nearby resource for gear and classes in Stowe at The Fly Rod Shop
Fly Fishing Stream Tour By Reservation This fly fishing tour is designed to give you the practical application needed to round out your fishing knowledge. Utilizing the latest graphite fly fishing rods, all flies are custom tied to proved you with the best experience. All equipment is provided. A Vermont Fishing license is required for ages 15 & older, and may be purchased separately at The Fly Rod Shop or online prior to trip. Ages 8 & older. $225 for 1 Person, 340.00 for 2, $390.00 for 3 and $440.00 for 4. Larger groups can be accommodated. Advanced registration required, limited space available.
