Experience our Mountains -- Spring Skiing & Riding
Mother Nature offers the outdoor enthusiast some of the best days on the slopes during Springtime in Vermont! Our ski and ride season usually runs through the second weekend in April. The days filled with warm temperatures and blue skies on terrain deeply blanketed by snow during the Winter is what every skier and rider has waited for.
The Spring terrain at Smuggs is typically restricted to higher elevation trails on Sterling and Madonna Mountains. With the annual average snowfall of nearly 280" and top to bottom snowmaking on both Madonna and Sterling we've got you covered with the best on snow experience in the East!
Trails on Madonna and Sterling are challenging and we recommend that your ability is at an intermediate or higher level. The upper mountain terrain can vary depending on the nighttime temperatures and accessibility to our professional grooming staff. The snow quality goes through periods of warming and freezing and generally gives the effect of what we call "corn snow." This type of snow offers excellent carving ability and creates a faster sliding surface that is welcomed by seasoned skiers and riders.

There are no refunds on lift ticket purchases. Lift tickets are non-transferable.
3 Mountain Equipment will offer every skier and rider an extensive inventory of professionally maintained adult or youth ski equipment to rent from Rossignol, Head, and Dalbello. Rent the latest gear in snowboarding from Head and Burton. Every Tuesday is our Demo Day special of only $27.50 all day!
In the Base Lodge at the base of Madonna Mountain Open Friday-Sunday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Located downstairs in the Madonna/Sterling Base Lodge is 3 Mountain Equipment's demo center offering our high performance ski & snowboard equipment. Full tune and repair services are also available daily at this location.
