They will be shaped, soldered, filed, and stamped. Meet at the Vermont Jewelry School on Iris Lane in Cambridge, located only 3.5 miles from Smugglers' Notch Resort. A minimum of 2 people are needed for the class to run.
Painting on Canvas

Nature Drawing & Painting

Thursday, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
$50 per person
Join local artists to explore the arts. Record the natural world with field sketching and painting. Try several mediums including watercolor pencils, oil pastels, and watercolors.

We begin the class indoors to learn all about the supplies and techniques. We will bring the class outdoors or stay in the classroom to create depending on the weather. Rain or shine, this will be a fun class full of creativity and freedom of expression. Experience drawing and painting while learning about composition, brush handling, color mixing and more. Your creativity is encouraged!
Ages 10 & older. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies are included. Class minimum 4 people. Class meets in the FunZone 2.0 Party Room before moving outdoors. In case of rain, we'll stay inside. Be prepared for the outdoors with a sunhat, sunscreen, bug spray & water bottle.
Explore various media as we sketch and draw inside the Artists in the Mountains room at the Morse Highlands Day Lodge. We will use pencil, charcoal, inks and more. No experience or particular skills necessary. Ages 10 & older. All materials included. Includes an artist quality sketchbook and pencil to take home.

In this workshop you'll spend a half-hour indoors learning the basics of how the paints work, then we'll head outdoors. Please bring a water bottle and a bag or backpack (if you have them). We will stay within a quarter mile of the art building, but wear walking shoes. Ages 12 & older. All materials as well as a painting stool are provided.

Acrylic painting for anyone who has considered painting but didn't think they could, or for artists who wish to increase their creativity. Primary colors are explored, along with composition and play. Each person will be pleased to bring home a painting at the end of this 2 1/2-hour session. Ages 12 & older.

Explore your creative side as you develop natural forms into clay images in the three-dimensional art form. Nancy Schade leads you in clay modeling, learning the properties of various clays and forming clay into a piece that can be finished. Take home a complete sculpture. Ages 12 & older.
