Children's Programs & Activities

Adventure Rangers and fun activities for your children!

Operational Update - 2020 Summer Camps Cancelled
Our goal is always to provide our campers, guests, and staff with a safe, fun, and enriching experience. We have been following updates from the CDC, American Camping Association, Department of Children and Families, the Vermont Health Department. After much deliberation and in alignment with our goals, we have decided that due to the significant unknowns and challenges of our state guidelines we do not plan run our traditional TREASURES day care, Summer Fun University children's camps, Vermonter Camp, or Specialty Camps this summer. The long list of protocols provided by the state will make it very challenging to safely run camps while also providing a great guest experience.

June 26 - September 7, 2020

This energetic age group is broken down into groups of 7 & 8 year-olds and 9 & 10 year-olds who enjoy a full slate of adventure activities daily! At Smuggs we give 7-10 year-olds freedom to choose the activities they like - every day! Campers select a main focus each day, plus everyday includes swimming, team building and other activities.

Children in Adventure Rangers programs are given the opportunity to tailor their experience at Smuggs based upon their own interests. Within the Adventure Rangers program, they are grouped by age: 7 & 8 year olds and 9 & 10 year olds. Typical Child to Counselor Ratio 1:10. Our children's program activities are all CHALLENGE BY CHOICE. This means that if at any point a camper does not feel comfortable with any activity, he or she can either step aside and observe, or counselors may help the camper to find a more comfortable way to be a part of the group without doing the specific activity.
