Operational Update - 2021 Summer Children's Programs

Our goal is to provide our guests and staff with a safe, fun, and enriching experience. We will not be offering our traditional camps this summer. For summer 2021 we will be offering our specialty programs for children ages 7-17, the Smugglers' Notch Adaptive Program, and the half-day program for 3-6 year olds. Programs will only be offered Monday - Friday. All programs will operate with essential eligibility criteria in place.

Smugglers’ Summer Fun University offers something for everyone — from games, to nature, cool art projects, pools & waterslides. Plus, our special interest programs help your kids learn new skills or hone in on their favorite activities like high adventure courses, survival skills or mountain biking! Our professionally trained counselors organize and oversee all of our unique activities that will enrich and engage your kids — all day long. Smugglers' Notch Specialty Programs

Take it up a Notch with our Smugglers' Specialty Programs - Ages 7-17

Our comfortable environment, focused on challenge by choice, supports trying something new or sticking with what's familiar - it's all good. All groups will swim when time allows in their schedule.

Special Interest Programs


Preregistration online is required for all programs. We recommend you register two weeks prior to arrival to secure your spot as some programs will sell out. You will complete your child's contact card issued at program check-in.

The High Adventure Program will require additional waivers from our partners for Rock Climbing with Metro Rock and ArborTrek Tree Top Obstacle Course. Once registered waivers will be emailed to you.

   • Emergency contact information is critical. Your contact person must be someone other than yourself, in case we cannot contact you.
   • To best meet your child's individual needs, please inform the staff of any special considerations, such as allergies and diet.

Cancellations must be made by 5:00 pm the day prior to the program/activity start date to receive a full refund. Cancellations made after 5:00 pm are not eligible for a refund.

Program Check-in

All Specialty Programs check in between 8:45 am - 9:00 am with the first activity starting at 9:00 am. If you would like your children to be grouped together the older child will be expected to join the younger child's group.

Shuttle services are available to take children to programs. Please call extension 7000 or 802-644-1010 for the Resort Shuttle.

Children with Allergies
Many children participating in our programs have allergies. If your child has any allergies, minor or severe, please be sure to let the counselor and supervisor of the program know. Children bring their own lunch, which could contain nuts. All of our counselors are trained on our policies and procedures to minimize allergy risks and keep children safe.

What should you wear?

• Sturdy sneakers or hiking shoes. NO SANDALS or Crocs allowed.
• Dress for an active outdoor day, including sweatshirt, light jacket or raincoat if needed.
• Please label all of your belongings.

What should you bring to the program?
• Mask
• Bag lunch
• Snack
• Backpack or bag
• Bathing suit* & towel
• Change of clothes
• Close-toed sturdy shoes
• Sunscreen
• Water bottle

*NOTE: Bathing suit and towel are not needed for the AM Mountaineer program.

• Bug Repellent

* Family Fun Guarantee: If any member of your family participates in one of our programs and doesn't have fun, Smugglers' will refund the entire program portion of that family member's stay. It's as simple as that.
