Set sail from Burlington, VT with Whistling Man Schooner Company for two hours aboard their iconic and historic sailing sloops, Friend Ship and Wild Rose. Enjoy the relaxation of Lake Champlain and its stunning views with friends and family. A perfect afternoon excursion for groups of two to twelve looking to try something new or to just sit back, relax, and enjoy all that Lake Champlain has to offer. Bring your own picnic, drinks(alcohol allowed), and a spirit of adventure as knowledgeable and friendly captains and crew serve up interesting local stories and top-notch customer service. Come explore the beauty of the green mountains and experience all the Lamoille River has to offer! VT Canoe & Kayak offers canoe, solo & tandem kayaks, and paddleboard rentals as well as a variety of guided tours as well.

All paddling adventures include basic paddling and water safety instruction and meet behind The Family Table Restaurant at VT Canoe & Kayak on Route 15 in Jeffersonville, unless otherwise noted. All participants must provide their own transportation to Vermont Canoe and Kayak. Actual river trip times will vary depending on the paddlers skill level and river current. This is a flat river, with no experience necessary.

Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to sign a release waiver. Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to start of all tours. A canoe can hold up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children whose combined weight does not exceed 150 lbs. People in middle do not paddle. Tandem kayaks hold 2 paddlers only. Stand-up paddleboards are for one.

Join your guide on a scenic stretch of the Lamoille River and conclude your journey at Smugglers' Notch Distillery. Enjoy a cocktail and a taste of their award-winning spirits.

Smugglers' Notch Distillery's award winning spirits will not disappoint. Bottoms up! Ages 21 & older. $80 per person. Advanced registration required, as space is limited.

Canoe, Kayak, and Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Rentals & Shuttle

Monday - Friday, 10:00 am and 1:30 pm
Explore the scenic Lamoille River at your leisure.

Our guides will shuttle you upriver, launch you with basic paddling instruction if needed, then send you on your way. Feel free to take a picnic lunch, go for a swim, stop on a beach, or just enjoy a relaxing day on the river. Ages 3 & older. Single kayaks and SUPs - $45, tandem kayaks - $75, canoes - $100. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. A canoe can hold up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. Tandem Kayaks hold 2 people.

A visit to Vermont is not complete until you experience and taste Vermont Maple!

After your paddle downriver, you’ll visit the Maple Outlet to learn about the sugaring process, see an evaporator and indulge in a maple ice cream or coffee and take home a maple goodie! $70 per person ages 7 & older, $40 per child ages 3-6. Advanced registration required, as space is limited.

What better way for a family to enjoy a nice summer day, take in nature and maybe even enjoy a quick swim! Ages 3 & up. $130 per canoe, a canoe can hold 2 adults & 1-2 small children. Advanced registration required, as space is limited.

Your guide will lead you down a 4.5 mile scenic stretch of the Lamoille River at a leisurely pace, allowing you ample time to enjoy nature and catch a glimpse of wildlife.

This is a great opportunity for beginner paddlers to enjoy the river. Kids 8 & older can paddle their own junior boat. Ages 4 & older can be in the front of a tandem with an adult paddling in back. $65 per person. Advanced registration required, as space is limited.
S'mores Tour

Summer isn’t complete without roasting s’mores.

What better way to celebrate summer than a paddle on the Lamoille, stopping along the way to roast marshmallows on one of the sandy beaches. Experience Vermont with a paddle in your choice of boat and witness what nature has to offer out on one of our most scenic waterways. Gather on a riverside beach where your guide will treat you to a campfire and s’mores. Sit back, relax, laugh… and keep your eye out for a peek at friendly, curious wildlife. $70 per adult, $40 per child ages 3-6.

Water and Wine

What better way to kick off the weekend than a trip down the Lamoille to the nationally recognized Boyden Valley Winery where you can enjoy samples of wine, spirits and liqueurs!

Take a short scenic paddle to the Winery where you will be shuttled to the tasting room. Here you will enjoy a 5 item flight inside their restored carriage barn or on the patio overlooking the beautiful, rural mountain views. In addition to the tasting, you can also purchase any wine, spirits or liqueurs you loved. Grab your partners, grab your friends, reserve your space and celebrate Summer! Cheers! $80 per person. Valid ID required for wine tasting.
