It’s a great honor for America’s Family Resort to be recognized as number one for families in the Ski Magazine annual survey for the past two decades.

The independently owned Resort prides itself on catering to families with incredible slopes and outdoor experiences for skiers and non-skiers alike.

Owner, Bill Stritzler said, “The SKI Magazine Reader Resort Survey takes feedback from real skiers and riders who are passionate about traveling for the sake of living their passion. We see this feedback as the most genuine type possible and hold a survey like this in the highest regard.”

Stritzler went on to say Resort staff members always go above and beyond to create memorable vacations for visitors, and being honored as the #1 in Service is a testament to their efforts.

“Employees at Smuggs have a “We Want You Back” attitude toward every guest,” Stritzler said.

Further emphasizing Smuggs commitment to families, the Resort is in the top 10 for:
Value, Lodging, Access, Nightlife, Après, Local Flavor, and Dining.

Smuggs has 78 trails, 8 lifts, the highest vertical drop in Northern Vermont at 2,610 feet, and more than 300 inches of natural snow annually. There are multiple terrain parks and 1,000 acres of skiing and riding. For those staying at the Resort, it’s a wide open space with the mountain outside their door.

The Resort offers award-winning children’s programs, full day camps for kids to learn how to ski while parents spend the day on the trails, nearly 15-miles of snowshoeing and cross country trails, swimming, ice skating, FunZone 2.0 with a rock climbing wall, a Ninja Warrior Course, enormous inflatables, an arcade, laser tag, and a section for younger ones to play.

Families who visit Smuggs tend to return year after year to continue creating memories that last a lifetime.

NOW WE’RE COOKIN’!

(Jeffersonville, VT) The Smuggs Rally Team is excited to announce the speaker for the Winter Rally is the now nationally known local chef, Adam Monette. Adam, who grew up in Johnson and is now from St. Albans, is heating things up on the Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship. Adam is “the one to beat” in the 8th annual nationally televised baking competition.

Adam, who’s 35 and married with two young daughters, is a culinary arts teacher at Northwest Career and Technical Center.

He got his start right here at Smuggs! At 15-years-old he got his first professional job as a chef, working at Morse Mountain Grille. Now he brings his little girls to the Resort to ski and bumps into old friends from his days in the Grille’s kitchen.

Adam found his way onto the Food Network when a former student recommended him for the show. He put together a few videos, was interviewed, and landed a spot. He spent weeks filming in Knoxville, Tennessee. If he has the recipe for success and is the last chef standing out the dozen competing, he’ll win $25,000. The show finale airs on December 20, 2021 on the Food Network.

He has all the ingredients needed to be a top-notch speaker for Winter Rally. Adam grew up at the Resort and now brings his young family to the mountain.

Smugglers are cheering for you Adam, and hoping you take home the Grand Prize.

Bravo Channel’s Winter House

[+] More on Bravo Channel's Winter House
The Bravo Channel filmed segments for this series in January 2021 at Smugglers’ Notch, mainly for the outdoor skiing and riding experiences of the show.

The lodging was in a house in Stowe.

The celebrity cast and producers thoroughly enjoyed visiting Smuggs for several shoots during their time in Vermont.

According to the Bravo producer who booked the event, these shows work better with the cast moving around to different locations to experience the regions they visit.

While in Vermont, the cast and crew had a great time taking part in the activities at Smuggs, went ice fishing on local lakes, dog sledding in Eden, and dining out at local restaurants.

Not everything happens on schedule when producing a TV show like this, so the most difficult part of the puzzle during the visit was coordinating when and where things would come together smoothly.

On the grand scheme of things, Smugglers’ Notch welcomes the idea that our Resort was selected to help in the production of this national reality television series.

All cast members & production crew were quarantined prior to the shoot and tested negative before shooting.
