Lots more to do and see in the surrounding area!

Our spectacular corner of Vermont is renowned for its history, outdoor experiences and so much more. Just a short drive from Smugglers', you'll find plenty to explore. Here are some of our favorites.

The Barn at Smugglers' Notch
The Barn at Smugglers' Notch is Vermont's Newest Wedding and Event Venue and one Vermont's Most Beautiful Wedding and Event Venues! The Barn at Smugglers' Notch is a new breed of Vermont Wedding Venue. Modern, Elegant & Sophisticated, yet designed and built with a vernacular that matches the natural beauty of its surroundings. With almost 360 degree mountain views, the location is one of the most stunning panoramic vistas in Vermont and New England. The Barn has plenty of windows to take full advantage of the unobstructed views of Vermont's tallest mountain, Mt. Mansfield, Smugglers' Notch, and the peaks of the Green Mountains. The Barn is set on the 77 acre historic Dodge Farm on the Mountain Road, minutes from Smugglers' Notch. The Barn at Smugglers' Notch is a premier, upscale wedding and event facility, operating year round. "The Barn", as we like to call it, was completed in 2016. The key ingredients that went into the building of this very special event space were location, design, comfort, and service.

Long Trail Brewing Co.
The first batch of Long Trail Brewing Co.® rolled off the line in 1989. Back then the brewery—known as the Mountain Brewers—was a modest brew house tucked into the basement of the Old Woolen Mill in Bridgewater Corners, with the goal to brew an affordable, American-made alternative to the pricey German and English exports that filled the shelves. At the time, the craft brewing industry in America was on the rise and Vermont was better known for maple syrup than beer. In 1989, Long Trail Ale® hit the taps at local watering holes; blazing the trail for Vermont's craft brewing industry.

Sierra Nevada
Ken Grossman learned to homebrew from the father of a close friend. From an early age, he was enamored by the sights and smells of the fermenting jugs of bubbling beer. His first attempts at brewing were rudimentary at best, but began a lifelong passion for the art of fermentation. Grossman began planning a new small-scale brewery based in Chico. He took inspiration from the nearby mountains - the Sierra Nevada mountain range - and launched Sierra Nevada

Stella Artois

At Stella Artois, we are extremely proud of our Belgian roots. Our story can be seen on every bottle of Stella Artois. If you look closely, hints of our origins are proudly displayed.
Zero Gravity Beer
In 2012 we began distributing Zero Gravity Beer for off-premise sales, and two years later we had maxed out the production at the Flatbread Brewpub. Needing more space we found a beautiful location in Burlington’s South End Arts District, and in the spring of 2015, the Pine Street brewery came to be. A 30-barrel brew house, full canning line, tasting room, retail shop and a sun-drenched beer garden make this spot a premier destination for beer travelers and regulars alike. This location also houses our barrel aging program and allows us to make styles that we previously did not have the space to attempt.

von Trapp Brewery
It was more than a decade ago when Johannes von Trapp started thinking about starting a brewery at his family’s lodge in Stowe, Vermont. He had a dream to brew an American version of the tasty lagers he enjoyed so much during trips to the countryside near his ancestral Austrian home. With this dream in mind, Johannes worked to start a brewery at Trapp Family Lodge. It became a reality in the spring of 2010, when von Trapp Brewery officially opened. Our brewery was originally a modest facility located in the lower level of the Lodge’s Deli-Bakery. We currently brew around 50,000 gallons of lager each year, with brews available year-round and seasonally. In 2015 we opened our new 30,000 sq. ft. brewery located on Luce Hill Road, featuring a Rolec Brew House and capable of producing up to 50,000 barrels of beer annually.
