Top of the Notch Snowshoe Adventure Dinner

Tuesday 4:10 pm - 8:30 pm
The Snowshoe Adventure Dinner is one of our most popular programs, a dramatic and delicious dining experience atop Sterling Mountain (18 & older please).

The Sterling lift transports you to The Top of The Notch, a mountain cabin lit only by candles. The renowned Hearth & Candle Restaurant serves a gourmet meal with appetizer, salad, choice of main course and a famous dessert. After dinner, work off those calories with a 40 minute snowshoe down to the Base Lodge.

$85 per person, includes lift access, snowshoe rental, and dinner. Advance registration at The Guest Service Desk is required. Sign-up deadline is Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Minimum sign-up is required for trip to run. Transportation to the Base Lodge leaves from the Village Welcome Sign at 4:15 pm. Function will be cancelled in the event of severe weather

Transportation: A shuttle bus will be at the Welcome sign in the Village at 4:15 pm to take you to the Base Lodge. You may also drive your own vehicle and park at the Base Lodge. If you drive yourself, please be at the Base Lodge no later than 4:20 pm in order to ride the Sterling lift to the summit before the lift closes. Late arrivals will not be accommodated.

Child care:
Kids' Night Out: Ages 3-11. Based out of the FunZone 2.0, the evening program will include a pizza dinner, ice cream, popcorn, movie, arts & crafts, arcade, laser tag and Ozone fun. $55 per child. If your child is going to Kids' Night Out, you may drop them off in the lower level of the Meeting House at 4:00 pm. To sign your child up for the Kids' Night Out, please contact the Guest Service Desk or TREASURES. Child must be potty trained.

Private babysitting: Contact TREASURES Child Care Center (x1193) to arrange a private sitter for care of your children in your vacation condominium. 24-hour advance reservation is required. $15/hour, first child, $1/hour, additional child; $15 finders fee.

What to wear: Dress warmly and in layers in order to comfortably adapt to the temperature ranges likely to be encountered during the chairlift ride to the summit, the snowshoe tour, and the warm cabin.

What to bring: We suggest you bring water and you are welcome to bring a beverage of your choosing to complement your meal. A backpack is recommended for carrying any beverage you wish to bring.

Snowshoes will be provided to you upon arrival at the Base Lodge. You may want to bring your ski poles for extra support when walking around the summit.

Refunds and cancellations: Because of the logistics of hosting this event there are no refunds for cancellations after 12:00 noon on Tuesday. A minimum number of people is needed for the event to occur. If the minimum number of reservations is not met by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, guests who have signed up will be notified and their payment refunded.

A word of advice: Please note that the Top of the Notch is a rustic warming cabin with no restroom facilities. The only facilities are natures own. You may want to use a restroom in the Village or Base Lodge before getting on the Sterling lift for the ride to the summit.

Enjoy your evening this is a true adventure and a wonderful meal!
