First Timers

First Timer Ski or Snowboard Program

The First Timer program at Smuggs is for every first-time skier or snowboarder (age 5 through adult). Purchase your First Timer program directly at 3 Mountain Equipment located in Smugglers' Notch Resort Village at the base of Morse Mountain.

Each day of the First Timer experience includes:

   • Full day Morse Mountain lift ticket
   • 2 hour beginner (levels 1 & 2) group lesson, 10:00 am or 1:00 pm daily
   • Ski or snowboard rental equipment with helmet

Available daily: December 6, 2019 - April 5, 2020
Rate: Only $109 per day. For best results we recommend three consecutive days but this is not required.

Learners Permit - Bundle of 3

This package will allow you to select the days you wish to build your skill level on skis or snowboard with a big savings from buying a separate single day package.

   • $30 lift tickets

Learners Permit Plus
This package includes all of the benefits of Learner's Permit in addition you'll receive a pair of Rossignol Experience Program skis and bindings when you complete your three Learner's Permit First Timer Lessons.
Rate: only $329 per person (Available to Vermont residents only)

Smugglers' uses hands-free RFID technology at all of our mountain lifts. A personalized Notch Card is required and available to purchase for $5 plus tax. Once purchased this reusable all-season card will have the option to reload online for various products and at our point of sale locations. For more information, visit smuggs.com/notchcard

Where should I go when I arrive at the resort?
Upon arriving at the Resort main entrance, bear right and follow signs to park at 3 Mountain Equipment (3ME). Purchase your First Timer lesson package and equipment rental at 3 Mountain Equipment.

Pre-registration is not necessary, but please arrive early enough to allow us to outfit you with your rental equipment prior to the start of your lesson.
When and where are my lessons?
2 hour beginner (levels 1 & 2) group lessons meet at 9:45 am and start 10:00 am or 12:45 pm and start at 1:00 pm daily. They meet at the Snow Sport University greeting area at the base of the Village Lift at Morse Mountain.

Once you have been fitted for your equipment the 3ME staff can assist you with finding the pathway to the Greeting Area at the base of the Village Lift at Morse Mountain.
