Be a Smuggler

We received 5 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 31 inches in the past week. Today we have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna I Lift. We have 67 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 19 trails have been groomed for today, including Smugglers’ Alley for a grand total of 94 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are powder and packed powder with base depths of 14 to 46 inches. Currently it is snowing and 23 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with snow showers and 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible with a high of 30 degrees.

  1. Hugh – Big fan of the blog! Conditions look amazing. Looking forward to being up there in a couple weeks…
Any word on plans to open Morse Highlands?

    • Morse Highlands may be opening in early February. Check back for details. Doc’s to Goat to Lower FIS was awesome today!

  2. @Docs fan would love to see Morse Highlands open, my kids love the trails over there.

    • We do plan to open Morse Highlands in early February. We still need to make some more snow on the trails to open them.
