Uphill Alert

Ok all you skinners, please be advised that as the weather shifts around on us to above freezing days and below-freezing nights, there may be some instances when we need to close morning access for grooming purposes.  This would occur when we experience above freezing temperatures until the early morning hours, causing us to have to groom Madonna and Sterling shortly prior to opening to deliver skiable conditions to our customers.  It is important that you monitor the snow report daily as we will announce any closures due to this with our end-of-day updates.

Warms the soul

Rockin’ Ron for Hugh. Warm temps – that’s relative – on the Mountain today. The thermometer hit the low 30’s. Folks sitting outside, jackets flapping, spirits soaring. While venturing to the upper mountains on Midway, I stopped to take in the views. On Madonna, I did the double compression run – Upper Drifter to Shuttle – hit the dips with speed and cruise up the other side. On Sterling, I stole an outlaw run – Bootlegger to Smugglers’ Alley to Lower Rumrunner. Had lunch at the Black Bear and saw Ann, Dusty, and Zoe. They have Vegan Falafel on the menu – YUM! Warm temps and a soul-warming experience.
