Sterling: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

More new snow

We received 3 inches of new snow overnight, 7 inches in the past 24 hours, and 13 inches in the past 4 days. Today we have 4 lifts operating; Sterling, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, Village, and Sir Henry’s Glider. Madonna Mountain will be closed today for grooming operations. We have 37 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 18 trails have been groomed for today, including Smugglers’ Alley and Snow Snake for a grand total of 80 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 8 to 42 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 0 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 10 to 20 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for snow showers with 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible and a high of 15 degrees at the base and 2 degrees at higher elevations. Great conditions

We received 4 to 6 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 10 inches in the past 3 days. The new snow allowed us to open some natural snow trails like Full Nelson, Harvey’s Hideaway, Goat Path, and Upper Exhibition. There’s more snow in the forecast tonight with 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible. It’s going to be pretty cold the next two days so make sure you don’t put away your puffy or hand warmers quite yet. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies, breezy, snow showers with 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible, a high of 15 degrees at the base and 6 degrees at higher elevations. We have 32 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 8 to 42 inches. 18 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Snow Snake, Birch Run, Garden Path, and Howie’s Wanderer for a grand total of 80 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We received 2 inches of new snow last night, 6 inches in the past 3 days, and 209 inches this season so far. Today we have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have 39 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 30 trails have been groomed for today, including Dixie’s Knoll, Snow Snake, McPherson’s, Playground, Crossover, and Treasure Run for a grand total of 121 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 6 to 40 inches. Currently, it is snowing and 28 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for snow showers with 2 to 4 inches of accumulation possible with a high of 34 degrees. Tonight’s forecast is snow showers with 1 to 3 inches of new snow. Tomorrow’s forecast is snow showers with another 1 to 3 inches of new snow!

Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for snow showers with 2 to 4 inches of accumulation possible and a high of 34 degrees. Tomorrow night’s forecast is snow showers with another 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible. Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains. Tomorrow is the last day of operation for the Morse Highlands Lift for the season. We have 35 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 30 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Playground, Waterfall, Black Snake, Treasure Run, Curley’s Cutback, and Garden Path for a grand total of 121 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Mountains of adventure and mountains of fun

We received 1 to 2 inches of new snow on top this morning. We had a little liquid snowfall earlier today at lower elevations. This afternoon we had partly sunny skies and spring conditions. I skied Upper FIS this morning with the new snow and it was wonderful. I skied it again later in the afternoon and it had small moguls made of corn snow. We have colder temperatures this weekend along with snow on Saturday night and Sunday with up to 6 inches of accumulation possible. Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains, with 7 lifts operating, including Madonna I and Morse Highlands. We have 35 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 31 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Upper FIS, Smugglers’ Alley, and Snow Snake for a grand total of 126 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 6 to 40 inches. Currently, it is partly cloudy and 35 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 0 to 5 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with a chance of mix at the base and snow showers at higher elevations, a high of 43 degrees at the base and 34 degrees on top.
