Today: Light snow likely before 1 pm, then a slight chance of snow showers between 1 pm and 3 pm. Cloudy, with a high near 28. The chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tonight: Snow, mainly after 1 am. Low around 23. The chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Thursday: Snow. Areas of blowing snow after 1 pm. Temperature rising to near 25 by 9 am, then falling to around 15 during the remainder of the day. The chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Thursday night: A chance of snow before 7 pm, then a chance of snow showers between 7 pm and 11 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around -6. The chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

We received 1 to 2 inches of new snow last night. Today we have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna I Lift. We have 25 trails open with terrain for all ability. The trail count will increase over the next two days with all the snow that is in the forecast. All 25 trails have been groomed for today for a grand total of 106 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 10 to 46 inches. Currently, it is 26 degrees at the summit of Sterling with light snow and winds of 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday night: Light snow likely, mainly between 7 pm and 1 am. Cloudy, with a low around 25. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of snow showers before 10 am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28. New snow accumulation of less than an half-inch possible.

Wednesday night: Snow, mainly after 10 pm. Low around 22. The chance of precipitation is 80%.

Thursday: Snow, mainly before 1 pm, then snow showers likely after 1 pm. High near 27. The chance of precipitation is 80%.

Thursday night: A 40 percent chance of snow showers before 1 am. Cloudy, with a low around -6.

Friday: Mostly cloudy and cold, with a high near 4.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around -2.

Saturday: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 22. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

Tuesday Night Snow likely before 1 am, then a chance of snow showers between 1 am and 3 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 16. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday Snow showers, mainly after 11 am. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 21. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Wednesday Night Snow showers likely, mainly before 7 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around -8. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Tomorrow we plan to have skiing and riding on all 3 mountains. We plan to have 4 lifts operating; Sterling, Madonna II, Sir Henry’s Wonder Carpet, and Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift to the summit. We have 16 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. All 16 trails will be groomed for tomorrow for a grand total of 64 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 12 to 48 inches. Tonight we plan to make snow on Lower Morse Liftline, Sam’s Run, and Dixie’s Knoll. Lower Morse Liftline will be closed tomorrow Tuesday, December 17th for snowmaking.

Lifts and Trails

Today we have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna I lift. We have 65 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 20 to 50 inches. We could see spring conditions by this afternoon. 39 trails have been groomed for today, including Upper FIS, Snow Snake, and Smugglers’ Alley for a grand total of 153 acres of freshly groomed terrain.

Today we have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have 77 out of 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 24 to 54 inches. 46 trails have been groomed for today, that’s 158 acres of freshly groomed terrain.
