Smugglers' Notch, Vermont - Children's Programs & Camps
Summer at Smugglers’ Notch Vermont

Children's Programs & Activities
for ages 5 - 6 years

Trail Blazers and fun activities for your children!

Trail Blazers is uniquely designed to meet the needs of 5 & 6 year olds who are ready for more of an adventure than Discovery Dynamos (3-4 year olds), but are not quite ready for Adventure Rangers (7-10 year olds). This all day program will introduce the different activities that they will be able to participate in the Adventure Rangers Camp minors in the future. Plus there will be daily water play, snack time and story time. Here is just a sampling of the fun Trail Blazers will have:

Arts & Crafts
Create wonderful projects using your imagination! Make the costumes you will wear during the Theme Week Parade on Thursdays. Materials will be geared toward children's ages and abilities.

Nature & Hiking
Take mini-hikes and explore our forests, ponds, streams and brooks. Learn about the wonders of nature and how to identify animal tracks while having fun with new friends.

Adventure & Games
Play field games and other team activities that will form bonds and build trust among teammates. Ultimately the group will be introduced to our low ropes course, which will thrill and challenge these young pioneers.

Every Day Activities Sampling

Water Play
Groups will get a chance to ride the Turtle Slide and play in one of our wading pools daily, which are 2 1/2 feet deep and are carefully supervised by counselors and lifeguards.

Rest/Story Time
Each day the children will take a rest while we tell them stories.

Snack Time
Groups will get a snack in the afternoon. There is a different snack every day. Check out our bulletin board, located in the entrance to the lower Meeting House, for the current Snack Schedule.
