Trail Blazers and fun activities for your children!

Young campers will explore the world of Smugglers' Notch in our Trail Blazers program. This all-day program will combines active, challenging, fun and physical activities. The campers will get to play many games, create arts & crafts projects, learn about nature and more!



Trail Blazers All-Day Program

Trail Blazers Camp Activities
Ages 5 & 6 years
Offered daily: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Meeting location: The lower level of the Meeting House (Monday-Friday) , TREASURES Child Care Center (Saturday & Sunday) .
Check-in time: 9:15 am - 9:45 am. Prior to 10:00 am camp departure, groups play games, ice breakers, and team building games.
Program cost: $95 per child, per day. Adventure Rangers daily program is INCLUDED with the FamilyFest Package and 50% OFF the Daycation or SimplySmuggs Packages.
Optional camp lunch program: $6.15 plus tax or bring a bag lunch.

Swim time, games, arts & crafts, hiking, snacks and stories. We try our best to group 5&6 year olds based on their age and energy level.


Monday — Fun on the Green
Campers will enjoy a variety of different field games out on our Village Green.

Tuesday — Creek Exploration and Creature Feature
Campers will explore the wonders of our creeks and streams flowing around the resort and find out about the animals and plants that live there. Each week our resident professor will bring a different exotic animal to visit the children for a unique learning experience.

Wednesday — Costume Creation
Campers will get to use all of their creative energy to help design and build the costumes they will wear in the parade on Thursday. Finish the day watching the exciting disc dog show with The 802 Disc Dogs.

Thursday — Crafts, Games and Theme Day Parade
Campers spend a portion of the day adding the final touches to their parade costumes. Play some fun active games and then end the day with our theme parade on the Village Green. (All parents are invited to the parade on the Village Green at 3:30 pm.)

Friday — Bootleggers Madness
Campers will spend the afternoon at Bootleggers' Basin. Groups will be shuttled down after lunch and spend time playing games in the fields and exploring the area with bug nets, magnifying glasses, and view boxes. They even get to spy on the frogs and fish with our underwater camera!

Saturday & Sunday —
Trailblazer campers will meet at TREASURES Child Care Center. From Treasures, campers will take part in craft making and indoor & outdoor group games. They will wade in Mountainside Lagoon and Turtle Slide, hike along our trails, visit the nature center and more.

Trail Blazers Camp Pool Time
Daily activities: Swim time, games, arts & crafts, hiking, snacks, stories, and quiet time. We try our best to group 5 & 6 year olds based on their age and energy level.

Water Play
Groups with non-swimmers will get a chance to enjoy the Turtle Slide and play in our Little Smugglers' Lagoon, where the water is 2 1/2 feet deep and children are carefully supervised by counselors and lifeguards. The Splashville Splash Pad is also a fun destination for non-swimmers. If your child passes our swim test, he or she can choose to join the swim group.

Arts & Crafts
Create wonderful projects using your imagination! Make the costumes you will wear during the Theme Week Parade on Thursdays. Materials will be geared toward children's ages and abilities.

Nature & Hiking
Take mini-hikes and explore our forests, ponds, streams and brooks. Learn about the wonders of nature and interact with some of our creatures in the Nature Center.

Adventure & Games
Play field games and other team activities that will form bonds and build trust among teammates. Ultimately the group will be introduced to our low ropes course, which will thrill and challenge these young pioneers.

Snack Time
Groups will get a snack in the afternoon. There is a different snack every day. Check out our bulletin board, located in the entrance to the lower level of the Meeting House, for the current snack schedule.

Trail Blazers Program is licensed by the State of Vermont Social Rehabilitation Services to ensure the best programming and care possible for children ages 5-6.

How to find your child during the day: The best time to check on your child is at lunch time, which is 11:15 am in the Meeting House. The Guest Service Desk can also help you locate groups throughout the day.

All children must be picked up by 4:00 pm in the lower level of the Meeting House.

Typical Child to Counselor Ratio 1:8. Arrangements can be made for children requiring more individual attention than with the above ratio for an additional fee.

Camp Program Lunch For your convenience, we invite your children to participate in our optional Children's Program Lunch at an additional fee of $6.15 per child, (ages 3-6) per day, plus tax.

• Sturdy sneakers or hiking shoes. NO SANDALS or Crocs allowed.
• Dress for an active outdoor day, including sweatshirt, light jacket or raincoat if needed.
• Please label all of your belongings.

Tennis Lessons for Kids (click for details)

Early Risers Clinic — Open to ages 5 - 8.
Young tennis enthusiasts, come explore the game of tennis with foam balls and fun play emphasizing fundamental skills and hand-eye coordination. Beginners welcome, equipment provided. This clinic will be cancelled in case of inclement weather.
Tuesday & Thursday 9:10 am - 9:45 am. $19 per person. Advance registration required.

American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program (click for details)

Do you have trouble fitting in swim lessons for your children in your busy Summer schedule? Now you can incorporate your child's and adult swim lessons into your Summer vacation! As an American Red Cross Authorized Provider, this Summer Smugglers' will once again be offering Red Cross Learn-to-Swim group lessons for ages 3-16 years.

These classes provide instruction to help swimmers develop their swimming and water safety skills. The program is designed to give students a positive learning experience. Learn-to-Swim teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression. There are six learn-to-swim levels. Each level builds on skills learned in the previous level. Children who have not participated in Red Cross lessons previously will be placed appropriately based on their current swimming skills.

The Learn-to-Swim program will run Monday through Friday and classes will meet in the morning to permit children to participate in Summer Fun University for the rest of the day. Children ages 3-16 years are able to participate in this program. Classes will have a 1 instructor to 6 student teaching ratio. The cost is $80 for the sessions for Levels 1-4 and $115 for Levels 5 & 6.

Our popular Private Swim Instruction Programs for infants and adults, and our Mom & Me, Dad & Me ... Parent and Child Aquatics programs for children under 3 years of age are offered daily this Summer.

Kids' Night Out (click for details)

If your ideal Winter vacation includes a romantic dinner or an evening out socializing at one of our adult events, we offer Kids' Night Out at FunZone 2.0. Kids enjoy dinner, art projects, games and the evening closes with ice cream sundaes and a movie.
June 15 - September 3, 2018.

Tuesdays from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
$40 per night, per child; for youngsters 3 - 11 years old. (Price includes a $5 Fun Card for the FunZone 2.0 Arcade.)

Children must be potty trained. 24 hour advance reservation required. 50% cancellation fee within 24 hours.

Babysitting Services (click for details)

TREASURES will help to arrange a private caregiver for evenings in your vacation home. Babysitters will entertain your children in your resort home with games and stories, or take them to activities that are occurring at the resort, if you wish.

Reservations for babysitting can be made by calling TREASURES at extension 1193 directly from your condominium or by calling 802-644-1193. TREASURES will take reservations daily between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. A 48 hour advance reservation is recommended.

A $15 non-refundable finders fee per babysitter is paid to TREASURES. A $15/hour, first child, $1/hour each additional child payment is made directly to babysitter for this service. A minimum of 2 hours is required. Sits with more than four children may require an additional sitter.

Holiday pricing for babysitting is $20/hour for the first child, $1/hour for each additional child. Holidays include: Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, 4th of July, and Thanksgiving Day. 48 hour advance reservation is recommended.
