What's Summer vacation without a little golf? Visit our Golf Pro at our on-site driving range for personalized instruction that will take your golf game to the next level. Smugglers' offers golf lessons in one-hour clinics: choose from beginner, short game, woods, wedge, or "golf widow" sessions. Private golf lessons are also available, as is a youth golf camp and clinic. Then take your game on the road to one of the nearby scenic and challenging golf courses.

Golf Driving Range

Our on-site outdoor golf driving range located on a hillside setting is a great spot to practice skills and is fun for the whole family.

Open daily, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. Small bucket of balls, $5; medium bucket, $8; large bucket, $10. Range clubs provided.

Whether you are a never-ever or an experienced player, you'll increase your golf skills and have fun at the same time! Choose from one of our many golf clinics, and take your game to the next level under the guidance of our Director of Instruction.

Never Ever - Tuesday 10:00 am - 11:00 am & Thursday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
For those who have never played the game but would like to experience this fast growing sport. The focus is on equipment knowledge, understanding the hows and whys, fundamentals and an introduction to the swinging motion.

Golf Widows - Tuesday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Tired of being left at home while your husband has all the fun? Join us for a women’s only golf clinic. This clinic is suited for golfers of all abilities, even those who have never held a club. Whether you are looking to fine-tune your swing or get some extra distance out of the ball, join our instructor for this 1-hour on-range clinic.

Beginner - Tuesday & Thursday 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
For those who have played some golf but would like to improve on fundamental skills and ball striking. An excellent follow up to the Never Ever Clinic.

Woods - Tuesday & Thursday 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
Open to all abilities, focusing on your distance clubs. Learn the importance of ball position, set up and understanding the impact of club length. Increase your distance and fly the ball straighter.

Short Game - Tuesday & Thursday 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
An easy way to lower your score quickly. Learn to use the Pitching Wedge, Sand Wedge and 60 Degree Wedge in a variety of ways. Also learn to master the bunker shot.

All Golf Clinics: One hour group clinic, $25 per person.

Private Golf Instruction

Enjoy the benefit of private golf instruction where the focus is on you! From those who have completed a beginner clinic to low handicappers, private instruction will improve your swing and your game.

Half hour private, $45 per person. One hour private, $70 per person.

Youth golf lessons at Smugglers' Notch Resort

Junior Great Golf Escape for Beginners

Junior Great Golf Escape for Beginners, for ages 8 - 12, lets you learn all the basics of golf while having fun with kids your own age. Kids will travel to nearby Arrowhead golf course, for a morning of on range instruction where they will learn the basics of grip, stance and posture that are the foundations of a great swing. After some time on the range, you will move on to learn the basics of putting and chipping on the practice green. After lunch the group will venture out for 9 holes of fun on the course.

Monday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, $129 per person, includes transportation, supervision & lunch. Requires sneakers or soft spikes for on-course play. Golf clubs provided if needed. Advanced registration is recommended.

Junior Intro to Golf

Open to ages 5 - 17. This one-hour clinic at our golf driving range is an introduction to the sport with a focus on the fundamentals, golf etiquette, beginning to swing, the importance of safety and fun!

Tuesday and Wednesday, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm &
Thursday 10:00 am - 11:00 am. $25 per person.

Play a round nearby! Receive special golf rates at these selected championship 18 hole golf courses when vouchers are purchased before departing Smugglers'.

Stowe Country Club - Just a 20-minute drive through Smugglers' Notch Pass. $95 per person plus tax, including cart. Soft spikes and 24-hour advance tee time required. Call 802-253-3690 to arrange your tee time prior to purchasing a voucher at the Smugglers' Guest Service Desk.

Vermont National Country Club - New England's first Jack Nicklaus designed course is just an hour away in South Burlington. Up to 72 hour advance tee times available, limited availability on this semi-private course. Soft spikes required. Stop by the Guest Service Desk to arrange your tee time. $125 per person plus tax, including cart.

Our Woodland Mini Golf is fun for all ages!

No Summer family vacation would be complete without a game (or two or three!)of miniature golf. Our Woodland Mini Golf course is in a beautiful wooded creekside setting. It is located behind the Smugglers' Tennis Center, where you'll find putters available for use at the miniature golf course at no cost to Resort guests. Open daily 9:00 am - dusk.
